I think what he meant was that the aura size scales with damage, since damage increases your tear size and godhead aura size scales directly with tear size. A larger aura means more ticks of damage, so it kinda does still scale with damage.

That 2:31 crash has happened to me a few times. It happens specifically with extra character “familiars” (soul of the forgotten, soul of J&E, strawman, & found soul). I haven’t really found a fix to it other than doing a completely fresh install. Anyways I hope it helps, there’s not a lot of documentation about the bug so I’m happy I’m not the only one. Edit: I might be completely wrong, but my guess is that the game thinks you died as those characters have items with standard HP (found soul having the lost HP logic and strawman having keeper HP logic respectively). I’m lead to believe that it causes the game to shit the bed from trying to understand why you aren’t dead when clearly a player character died.

1:05 actually, Godhead was changed a couple patches after Repentance released to have a set damage of 2 damage per tick, 30 ticks per second. It's much stronger than it was in Afterbirth+ at base stats, but doesn't scale with your damage anymore.

idea for an item: name: "Slice-A-Dice" tagline: 'less is more, more is less.' Active, VERY long charge (like 1-2 uses per floor long {2-3 if XL}). when you use it it splits each item in the room to one item for each quality lower than the items quality, all from the same pool as the original item. (e.g. using it on a quality 3 secret room item will spawn 3 items. a quality 2, a quality 1, and a quality 0, all from the secret room pool. using it on a quality 0 makes it disappear.)
