It's so awesome to see new arcade places that I've haven't heard of still carry the arcade tradition of Japan, even after seeing so many of my favorites in the years close down. It's just so incredible that the culture hasn't gone extinct in good old Japan like it has everywhere else in the modern world. I hope the spirit still carries on for several more years.

A great place to spend an afternoon, Odaiba is the perfect day trip in Tokyo.

i visited a retro arcade at the Ikaho onsen hotel in Shibukawa. they had 2 areas, a "newer one" time crisis 4, tokyo wars and mairio kart 2 then some crane games. the other had some retro games, a smaller area than other one pocket racer, another crocodile slam game to close thier mouths, a ball ramp drop with levers you control manually, a old namco target shooter, dirt dash cabin, old table space invaders and pacman, sega hang on motorcycle racer, taito 3 train simulator. pretty damn cool when there arent many arcades in shibukawa area.

Ikaho grand hotel if you are interested. Not biggest but some old games. Likely not many arcades there. Not completely sure myself. A bunch of initial D related landmarks and sights. Onsen areas, shrines. Not exactly civilisation but not middle of nowhere either. Its more of a hotel guest place to access, not so much a public arcade.

Oh, man! When I visited Tokyo in 2019 I went to Odaiba! I saw the Gundam and I went to Joypolis, but I had no idea this place existed! I'm cursing myself right now too because I was really jonesing for a arcade that day too!

what a cool arcade! I definitely noticed a lot of namco stuff, everything from galaga and xevious to point blank (whichever one gunbullet is) and taiko drum master! love the very retro atmosphere as well.

Odaiba, huh? I'll be honest with you, Jim. I actually never heard of odaiba. I never heard of it. You know it's the place of the neighborhood of tokyo, and you know what's the coolest place about? Playing video games. I watched your video yesterday and it was totally awesome! Even retro games and modern games kicks ass!!! Oh my god those arcade machines are incredible and super awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@MadPanicGaming I mean, it's true, Jim. I prefer going to the gigo arcades and where everybody goes there and play their favorite games. They have retro and modern games at gigo arcades in Akihabara. Even that place is so awesome to go there and have fun!!!!!!!!!!

There was a Dippin Dots in the Joypolis in Odaiba, but that was 18 years ago since I went there. Dunno if it's still there. This Odaiba Game Hall looks fantastic.

So many cool things.. but Virtua Cop 2 in the arcade is something I haven't seen since the mid 90s anywhere.. including today's retro arcades. Very cool.. and Sam reminds me of an otaku Tim Dillon.. That is a compliment.
