This is by far my favourite version of the song. The priests have amazing voices and play off each other very well, making each priest just as memorable as the other, and not just making Annas the star priest of the group. They're all really funny and I love the twist on the original song, especially the triplets in Caiaphas's verse. also, damn, caiaphas's voice is hot

I'm not sure why the priests are dressed like greasers in this version, but other than that, I like it. I have a question, however: which one is Annas? I know he's played by Guy Taylor, but a.) I'm not sure who Guy Taylor IS, and b.) I couldn't find any images from the show online, or other videos/songs featuring Annas from this production to clarify. I'm GUESSING it's the "wacky" priest of the bunch - the one who's first line here is "A rabble-rousing mission that I think we must abort!" - since he has the most personality of the group, but most of, if not all, of Annnas' usual lines from this song are given to another priest, so that makes it hard for me to tell.

i wonder if this was good even in 1992. it's not horrible or anything just, whaaaaaa? the caiphas is pretty decent, not quite intense enough but his deepness is good. The Annas is actually really fuckin good, i just wish they all came together a bit better and the music was done a bit closer to the original

Why is Caiaphas' mic hand held? Distracting. Music and voices are fantastic. Truly among the best. The staging is hideous. Done in the round makes this appear to be a concert performance and not an actual musical.
