You are speaking my language. I'm a Domain Main Player. I was wondering about this. Especially with the new Leyline cards that are coming out. I'm glad my thought process was on the right track cause the build I was theory crafting had a couple of these cards. I didn't even think about running shattered pact... Oh man... I think the BIGGEST problem is still going to be mono red. Even worse now where they can win turn 2

I wouldn’t be worried about the leyline. I’s be surprised if it was good. And after split up and pyroclasm in the format aggo will be pretty easy to answer.

@@yoyoguy1st yes. Start with leyline on field. Turn 1 Heartfire Hero. Turn 2 Attack, pump with Gaea’a Might. Becomes 7/7. Then Fling with Sell Sword. 7 damage from fling and 7 more from the ability for a total of 21 damage.

Loool, I immediately thought, "what a silly thing to say my favourite card is............ oh, I see what they mean".... I loved the Tibault plainswalker that could exile for 2 but only because Swayze made an early mono black deck that used treasure to sneak it in and no one ever expected it, blood on the snow cracked me because I'm from England and it was epic but I hate sweepers on principle since that sweeper hell period, so, possibly the double your spell, counter their's Jin Gatxis ...? Ugh

Nowhere to run: static effect IS permanent. « Those » = « creatures your opponents control ». Only the -3/-3 is targetting. (They don’t even have to have a creature…)

That's gotta be a glitch... the 'Impending' cost should NOT actually trigger beanstalk, because the CAST was not 5 cmc

No that’s how it works. The spell still the same mana value it was just cast for less similar to a leyline binding or any other discounting effect.

@@yoyoguy1st I think it's more like Prototype, or morph or other things that aren't a Discount like Leyline, which is discounted based on your board state, rather than the actual mana spent to cast it. That said, I saw it myself, it did totally work like that in MTGA. I just feel it is still a glitch that will get patched, when compared to other alternate casting costs

@@microafro1979 We’re telling you, that IS how it it works lol. Not a glitch or a bug, if you cast Overlord of the Mistmoors for the Impending cost, you are casting Overlord of the Mistmoors, a card with a CMC of 7. None of that is really up for debate, these are all clearly intended synergies. Contrast this with Prototype, which in its ability tells you that it can be cast as a DIFFERENT mana cost than what’s printed in the top right. If you were correct, Impending would have this same ability explanation as Prototype, but it doesn’t.
