Hi, game dev here! I am a bit scared of posting this, but awareness needs to be raised. Imagine sitting in meetings where most of your colleagues hate white men, openly saying that “they hate the patriarchy” and claiming inclusion and diversity, while you have to sit there unable to report this abuse to HR. Imagine having to constantly worry for losing your job watching carefully every single thing you say and always using the correct pronouns otherwise you will be reported for transphobia, homophobia, or anything your woke colleague can use to leverage power or simply cutting you down. Imagine you have to work way harder than your woke colleague, staying up late, covering for their systematic sudden sickness during crunch times, and still not getting promoted (while your woke colleague did) because the company has to show their shareholders that they are “inclusive” and “progressive”. And in all this, all you want to do is to provide for your family by doing what you love, and be part of the ultimate form of art we have today: video games. The truth is that the woke mob does not seek for equality or justice nor representation, they just want power, entitlement through very little effort by tapping into people’s empathy, using cheap manipulation techniques such as gaslighting, belittling and victimisation, and spreading hatred or shushing you should your opinion differ from theirs. It is fascist through and through, and because of this widespread disease games suffer, the same games you grew up with, nurturing that sense of belonging every single soul aspires to, the same games that allowed you to maybe cope with difficult moments in your life, whether it was playing as Lara in Tomb Raider, or the cranky Kratos in God of War, or even as an alien, Abe, in Oddworld. No need for labels, no need to shield a few self-proclaimed ultimate social guru’s sensitive ears, no need to standardise an already varied menu which allows you already to choose whatever you want to pick, without the need to be forced to gorge things you dislike. I love people, and I love to learn about everybody’s opinion, debating and enriching my knowledge, as this is not only the bedrock to provide vibrant characters to your games, but it’s also a key aspect to live in a cohesive society which builds upon integrating differences without labels, not promoting one group over others by blatantly flaunting something as trivial as their sexual orientation. And the “funniest” thing of all, is that nobody realises they are all victim of a divide-and-conquer game led by a few sociopathic masterminds where there are no winners, only hate and loss which eventually will lead to violent backlashes from all sides. This is an appeal to all gamers, don’t fight hatred with hatred, the woke mob is sadly a victim of a society that has failed them, we all are in some sense. Instead, do love games, and do love people, bond with them online and get to know them, isolate those who live in hatred without any violent comebacks as the truth is that most of them are suffering and live off your attention. Support those devs who live by the principle of not bending to imposed social canons, but instead provide you with the means to live their vision in the hope you enjoy the game, because these people DO actually love what they do, and they choose user experience over money, the latter ultimately and inevitably resulting in massive layoffs and business shut downs. Way too many woke people have disposable income for that to ever be entirely true. That's why they're woke, they live with their parents and have little to no life experience. So long as there's a community of these types of people those companies will continue to make some money. That's why Overwatch 2 isn't dead yet despite everything that's happened and how woke they are. They charge $40 for a skin and the community actually buys it because they don't have bills to worry about or go out much. I wish go woke go broke was 100% effective but it isn't. The most successful way to go about it is to make sure they spend more making the product than they get back but once it reaches those communities they basically have a lifeline for at least 2 or 4 years at a time.

Problem is with woke in gaming and movies is all the characters are self inserts of the writers and like minded actors. I don't mind self inserts as long as its a good self insert. I'm writing books where I appear as a main character (the books are based on my dreams. My dreams aren't random and follow a story that I add up to make into a book). Problem with woke self inserts is that they want to see themselves in the work while pushing a political agenda and being prejudiced to whites, men, and straight people. They don't want to identify with characters on their own, they want to be the character and the hero of everything. I'm fine with diversity where its natural and being black, gay or some other thing if their ID isn't the point of the story or character. One of my favorite super heros is Blade. As a kid i watched those movies. I got to buy a toy sword I saved up for and pretended to be blade. I used to run around the woods pretending to hunt vampires. I didn't like blade because he was black, I liked him because he was a super power bada** who saved people from vampires and had tons of cool gadgets. Not to mention his parkour and martial arts skills. At the same time he tries to find a cure for the vampires who are good and were unfortunately forced to be one. Blade one is probably my favorite. I liked the second and 3rd even though those are kinda bad. especially the third. Point is people don't always need to see a character with the same ID as them. People get immersed naturally into things they like and enjoy.

Was playing the Mecha Break Beta and normally such a game wouldn't be my cup of tea, but I saw the character creator and thought, I'm probably going to pick this game up and play it simply because you can play a cool looking dude, or a hot chick. The game even has jiggle physics. Feels like that feature has gone extinct with modern games. It's not just important to not buy games that do things you don't like. It is just as important to buy games that do things you do like. To send a message to the industry and investors what it is they need to be doing to make money. I’ve been doing this for years. In the last almost 8 years now, there hasn’t been much for games that peaked my interest. Any time a game trailer is released my immediate thought is “let’s see how bad this game is after release date”. It never fails, most games fail within a year and the servers are shut down and refunds are given back.

Also the fight scenes of FF are sick. I finished FFVII Remake, and it was a masterpiece, it definitely was a good love letter to the original game. Praise the LORD to making great games with good stories to learn from! Without Him, we wouldn’t be able to make stuff for us but not importantly, for His glory as well.
