The good thing is that Swayman is goalie for both teams. The terrible low effort Bruins can rear their ugly head and the other team STILL probably isn't scoring more than 1 or 2 goals. The Bruins can play like garbage and still have a puncher's chance as long as Swayman is doing this.

And it's not even like they got scored on in the last minute or something. They literally got scored on in like a minute after their goal. If they scored like real early in the first and then lost 2-1 in regular time this could be considered "blowing a lead", but to lose in overtime after 1-0? it's not even close lol. Thank you! Stats and expectations fall flat so much. I'm tired of people on HF Boards and the media thinking that a player isn't doing good or that a team will lose because of stats etc.. The eye test is THE only test. Also, I'm tired of people not realizing a team played well just because they lost. People forget about all the times their team almost scored or got robbed by the goalie or hit the post, and act like their team sucked just because they didn't win.

It’s quite common for the team that has rested longer to lose in the first game recently. It is most likely a result of teams going off a series more recently are more amped up and more ”in the zone”

I usually get to see the third period of the late night games when going into work. And when i walked in i was expecting Boston to not do well, which was expected. Only due to a short time in recovery and having to travel during that "recovery". However i was surprised that they were so far ahead! Either Nate or Brad will hopefully bring home the cup again!

BTW Geekie and Lohrei had identical goals. pasta up the middle takes a shot. the scorer comes up the left and takes the rebound, and hits the top middle of the net so quickly that people don't immediately realize it was a goal, and both goals even had Zacha flopping over Bobrovski as the goal is being scored

The bruins winning wasn’t as much as a surprise as the scoring being more than a one goal difference I have loved Swayman since he joined the team and have been hoping he’d break through and get a chance to ; finally Monty gave him the reins this year and he’s taken off After Bergeron, Sway was my favourite bruin (and also favourite active player) and he continues to get better every year-I am still upset Sweeney tried to low ball him last summer, and I hope they get him locked in long term this summer because WOW dude learned from Tuukka Rask after he stole the backup job from Halak the divisional bubble year, not a bad mentor lol

ullmark wasn't the problem game 2, that said Boston is in an extremely enviable position of having a veritable tandem tag team that can lean on one over the other. rest of team needs to not only meet the playoff moment the way both our goalies have, but keep consistent and focused, one game at a time, no resting on laurels, not period to period, nor game to game. but marking ullmark as game 2 "x factor" just bc it wasn't Swayman excuses everyone else not showing up for the guy. trust and take heart... having ullmark rested and waiting, chomping at the bit, is an undercover asset, not liability.
