If you make your own sauces, pasta water has a lot of starch in it, and that starch is really handy as a mild thickener.

His camera is on an easily moved tripod, we've seen him do it in other videos, he did it in this one a few times. What's one more move to save a bunch of fumbling with boiling hot water and metal? There's an auto-focus button too, it'd have taken literally a minute to position the tripod, line it up and hit record. It's not a big deal or anything, but let's not pretend he didn't mess up and it wasn't a remarkably simple fix.

Barry, I'm a recent viewer and I'm from America. Not only have I learned new slang that I've never heard of (hob, for example), your dad jokes are great. Your family seems so close knit and sweet and you're a fun person to watch! I barely even looked at the video time, which I usually do because I have a short attention span. OxBigly2010 I only just found out you use the colander like a lid on the top of the bowl. That way, you're only using one pot. Genius once I realize it.
