Yeah!!! Was there too in January for 3 weeks. Low season with 15 -25 kt and everyday 3 - 12 kiter. There was the local guy shoky with a spiderman costume =)

@@gethighwithmike Yes =) I always wanna go for long time ;) a year before in Ometepe for 2 months kiting. You should check the long beach between the two vulcanos in Ometepe. For next January I will search for a good spot in Kenia or Tansania. But now in August, you will find me in Silvaplana ;) But blue lagoon is still very special for me =)

Hey Iliass I think the very best time is September and October. Otherwise April and May are great too, I believe. Better to stick to April-October in general. Please do some more research though!

You can get a boat from Dahab. Super easy! :D Fly in to Sharm el Sheikh, Taxi to Dahab and then get a boat. Eeeezzzyyy

Hey Mike, cool video! That new surfr feature is absolutely insane, completely blew my mind! How they measure height and stuff, that I can explain. But the takeoff direction relative to wind direction - I have absolutely no clue! Do you??? That will really help progress in jumping higher and understanding if you're edging right and popping right as well. Thanks in advance!

Damn straight Sascha! They use your tacks to figure out the approximate wind direction using GPS and then they measure your course / point of sail relative to the wind direction. This has a huge affect on your speed and edging. They developed this feature based on my coaching :D

We Israelis used to travel from Eilat to Taba to the Blue Lagoon with the equipment without a problem. In the last five years, they have changed the policy and they see kites and its gear,as a tool for spy and photograph from the sky, so when we pass through(no flight needed', they confiscate our equipment and basically oblige us to rent equipment instead of surfing on our equipment. the other option is to come on a flight that will cost 4 times the $30 entry at the border crossing. used to enjoy Blue Lagoon.
