Thank you for sharing . We Ethiopians 🇪🇹 also use clay pot & we call it '' Shekila dist '' . Yes it's organic and it's healthy and also make foods more tastier we can also use it for any kind of dishes , stew& soup. It's magical & making it yummy. It's 100% better than stainless steel pots .

I just thought I'd drop in to let you know that I made Vietnamese Pho for dinner using your beef bone broth as the stock base. HOLY SMOKES!! What a game changer!! It was unbelievably delicious. It''s been a rainy humid day here in England and it was the perfect dinner for that sort of weather. I just wanted to say 'thank you so much'-- your recipes are so versatile and can turn other things I've been cooking with regularity into vastly improved masterpieces. Thank you Helen, once again, for rocking my world! If you're going to sell me cookware, well, it's the final frontier. I am ready for the ttukbaegi upgrade in my life! That bubbling sound is what I need in my life, who knew? Also the vessels ability to keep food hot so I can enjoy a more leisurely lunch/dinner is very appealing too. H-Mart here I come. 🍜😋🤩

I have two of these Ttukbaegi bowls, one large and one medium. I love mine, it has definitely elevated my Korean dishes. One question I have is using them to cook dishes in something like a Trager smoker, that uses indirect heat & smoke to cook. Would one of the large bowls work, or is there another Korean dish better suited for cooking in a smoker?
@lotusmark2
@lotusmark2 Жыл бұрын
With the bowls being open porous I would be concerned about the smoke penetrating the pot and “tainting” the flavours of future, none smoked dishes
@ModernPepper
@ModernPepper Жыл бұрын
So jelly that u have a Trager smoker. Usually, the smoking process is not common in Korean cuisine. For smoking, I would use a flatter gadget than a bowl (I guess it also depends on what u r smoking). I have the Big Green Egg. Personally, I would not use my TtukBaeGi in my smoker because it is too precious. (FYI - TtukBaeGi can withstand the heat of the smoker.). If I had to smoke something more soft/liquid, I would use a smoking tray or cast iron skillet.
