@@enegizedadam legion starts around $1500 and this laptop you can get for around $700. You can tell the legion has twice as nice a screen. Not as nice as the newer laptops that will crash trying to play video games. It is also about twice as heavy. I believe this is the best budget option for video games besides an actual console which then uses your tv as resolution so your experience here might vary.

bought a 15inch victus during 2022 black Friday for US$700. Ryzen 7 5800H, 16gb ram, 512 ssd, and with a gtx 3050ti. Price to performance was the best compared to the others. And with 16gb ram was the best purchase I made in the last 2 years.

Interesting review! I had my doubts, mostly due to the screen quality. The price dropped to 550 US from 799 and I pulled the trigger. Mind you, I am primarily on Mac for dev work, including the iPad Pro. The one thing I couldn't do with the iPad was code....thus a need for a cheap dev laptop. I was very pleasantly surprised. This is actually a great gaming laptop for the price of a decent Chromebook! Gaming (what little I do) has been pleasureable for sure. I upgraded to 16GB and its dialed in! Wait for the sales and buy it!

I came here just to look at the KB layout. Seriously, who tf approved the location of the power button, especially placed close to the 2 regularly used key, del and backspace. I had this once with my Acer, close to home button. Its very hard for typing work, sold it after a year.

Got my HP Victus 3 days ago. I tested the battery. I chose 30% brightness and applying the " 9 recommendations of power saving" as they call it, in the settings. Connected Wi-Fi and played KZbin videos 80% of the time while browsing 20% of the time. I got 4 hours and 15 min and 20% of my battery was remaining

Sounds about right. When we test video playback, we use a local video file, just for consistency sakes as a benchmark. Watching on KZbin would drain it slightly faster.

Victus 15-fb1013dx (7535HS+RTX 2050 model) ridiculously does NOT allow you to upgrade storage level neither with NVME SSD nor SATA SSD. It only has one Nvme M.2 slot in it. It is a joke but acceptable at this price level.

I just got the 4050 version and dawg it's as simple as popping out the 500gb stick and putting in a 2TB stick. You are meaning it does not allow a 2nd SSD, this is totally upgradable as is the RAM, which can be swapped for 2 sticks of 32 to up to 64gb which I have also done.

After lookign at the Victus 15 service manuals, there aren't any models which have an extra nvme slot. There is space in the motherboard for one, but no m.2 port. Pretty big mistake in the video.

Guys would you recommend it for playing Sims 4? I know real gamers don't think much of that game but by now sims has over 50Gb and with Cc and mods even more. There are many specs to IPS panels. The best IPS panels will be superior to the best VA and TN panels. However, some IPS panels, like this one here is just not great.

I owned 15 FB-2077AX, please avoid buying this laptop. Not for gaming. Why? 1. It only has 1 storage slot(mine is 500GB only😢), 2 RAM slot 2. Overheating issue, 3-4hrs of gaming you will experience frame drops because of temps getting 85c-90c with external laptop coolers. Please don’t be a victim. 😢
