Yes, and it's terrible. Toxic Shock Syndrome is a real thing, not to mention the general health risks of sitting in your own menstrual blood. TSS is rare with pads, but it can still happen even if it's more common with tampons. Absolutely terrible, it's vile how this went on. I can't believe this was ever allowed. Here's what I'm struggling to understand: Mr. Beast has been doing these challenges for years now, regardless of if they're real or staged. How the fuck is he going to come along now and say "Whoops, sorry, we're learning as we go." when this is all shit he should already know by now. This provides us with two possibilities: He and his crew were already aware of all the rules and regulations required to maintain a safe environment for their contestants and decided to ignore all of them for the sake of efficiency, or they didn't know all the rules and regulations before they started and decided to just blow on ahead without any idea of what they were doing. Both of these possibilities are absolutely horrific because it means Beast and his crew were completely okay with gambling with the health and safety of their competitors because the end product was more important to them.

This sounds like a badly run and a far to violent version of Survivor run by people who do not care about the contestants. While people have had seizures, passed out or gotten injured or very sick on Survivor there is a medical staff on hand and the contestants are monitored and checked constantly and will be removed from the game if there is any serious risk to there health. This should have been the case for the Beast games and if that wasn't done there up a creek and gonna probably have to pay serious $$$. As far as minimum wages, unless they were staff and not contestants they are probably not getting squat.

Any reality tv show or contest that lasts more than a few hours typically pays the daily or weekly acting minimum wage as required by the actors guild. It's something like $1,000 a week minimum, or $200 a day. That's to every contestant regardless of winnings just to be allowed to air it. The only ones that don't pay are sweepstakes style audience participation games where anyone has a chance to play (like the price is right) and the filming doesn't take more than half a day.

Im 100% sure the actual challanges didnt last for more than 24 hrs at a time and if they did its 100% their responsibility to ensure competitors are fed. California Senior HR professional and Masters in Legal Studies student here! This is a really interesting lawsuit, and I'll definitely be watching it going forward. Even though this was physically taking place in Nevada, California employees can still come forward and file suit based on California labor laws. California labor law is some of the most complex in the country, and failing to follow it means that you open yourself up, as a company, to the state's various agencies to come after you. CA wage statements have required information to be on them, employees must have at least 1 unpaid, uninterrupted meal break per 8 hour shift (more if a longer shift), employees must have one break (10 minutes) per 4 hours of work), and all employees must complete 1 hour of anti-harassment/anti-discrimination training (supervisors have a 2 hour requirement). I worked with the EDD on an independent contractor audit for a previous employer, and they dug quite deep and were very thorough. They are actively looking for these companies. I will definitely be watching this suit going forward!

Anybody who came from nothing who was propelled to the top is not clean. Logan Paul and KSI are amongst the most unpopular people in the world yet continue to get views. The decline of Prime tells you that, as sales declined so much that they had to breach contract on bottle manufacturing. Mr Beast was bound to be exposed for something. Mr Beast built and then abandoned all of the wells he dug in Africa. There was a reason why nobody else had done that… He profited from the idea that he’d done a great thing. He also made himself a god by doing so but didn’t prevent the violence and conflict from other regional villages that he chose not to help. He also rehomed 100 dogs on video for profit without vetting the owners properly where majority of the dogs were returned.

The thing with other real shows is that the people sign up for it and know it's all fake. The drama is fake the fights are fake they'll even have them come back weeks later to reshoot old drama to make it look better when they edit it. Even in the contract it says we have the right to edit your clips in anyway to make you look bad or good they know that from the start. But those shows still have staff on hand 24/7 to make sure stuff is safe. Almost all reality TV shows, even the worst ones, usually have a pretty decent living situation for the contestants The only one is survival where they know they have to live outside and fend for themselves, but when they get sick they are quickly taken care of and removed. They really couldn’t make a dorm with amenities and food for the contestants? Them sleeping on the floor, in thin sleeping bags, is just abuse for no reason.

Remember, in California, people have argued repeatedly that there are no differences between men and women in athletic competition. There is established case law on the books in California. You can't have it both ways. Any allegations that the events gave males an advantage will probably get tossed on motion for dismissal. All the other claims stand a chance if plaintiffs can show standing.

If the challenge is to stay in an area for as long as possible, the lack of food and water could make sense as a way to 'eliminate' participants. (As long as they have control and can act if participants start to become ill or anything happens) However, it's a different story if those not involved in the challenge are also deprived of necessities, that's really unacceptable. Additionally, not providing proper medical care for those who needs it is just wrong.

if those diabetics are in this lawsuit, then they can 100% do an attempted murder charge against Jimmy for keeping their insulin away from them. I got beat up, girl pulled my pump off, and she was arrested on attempted murder charges. Also, no one can say "they consented to this. they signed a contract" you can't consent to illegal acts or torture. Keeping insulin away from a diabetic, is an illegal act, and counts as torture.

From what I understand, this is why Amazon has this and not Netflix. Netflix wasn't wiling to let him have complete control over the show and Amazon would. Had Netflix been the one to win the contract, there would have been at least a few adults in the room to ensure that things like medication, feminine hygiene products and larger contestants knocking smaller ones out of the contest would be addressed properly ahead of time.

There are plenty of contests and they don't seem to be plagued by this type of stuff, or We don't hear about them anyways. What is his qualifications do this anyways? The competitors signed up for a competition, there was no misleading, the terms were clear. Classifying themselves as employees is clearly money-grubbing. Does anyone truly think that competitors should be retrospectively treated as employees, be entitled to minimum wage, and have the same work health and safety protections as someone making fast food? These lawyers are just trying to get a pay day. Then you have a woman complaining that an athletic competition for $5 million wasn't likely to be won by a woman. What possible high stakes competition could ever possibly be won by a woman? Every competition has a male/female split specifically because they'd otherwise be uncompetitive. Are we supposed to be watching a competition where it's an equal playing field between old people, women and men- what competition could that possibly be? You'd need to be picking random numbers from a bucket over and over for there not to be an advantage. Squid games was incredibly unequal. Women were at a gigantic disadvantage for almost every round. "Survivor" has been going on for two or three dozen seasons. AFAIK, nobody died or went to hospital despite being in the literal wilderness. MrBeast Games are done *inside America*, so there is absolutely NO reason for ANY contestant to have to go to the hospital, barring a super weird incident that nobody could conceive happening.

I got casted to be on this and the amount of people/contestants was outrageous to me so opted out in addition they were asking for me to take 3 months off work. Couple questions they asked were did I have a fear of being burried alive, any allergies (hinting at eating nasty shit), traveling, if I knew how to swim, and random questions. I would've joined but I wasnt willing to risk that long off work with so many contestants which made me decline joining. Crazy this is coming out about it though seems like mostly women complaining to be honest its 5 mil so yes i'd take 4 hrs of sleep w/minimal food to win regardless of the competition so I can only assume the women on this lawsuit feel played

You can't just walk in half-assed, throw some cash around and expect everything to go smoothly, especially when you don't even know the obvious pitfalls (like potential contestant violence) let alone the non-obvious ones (like tax, minimum wage etc)

I heard that Amazon pretty much just let Mr. Beast do whatever he wanted and that's why they are having so much problems - his company was not ready to be a real company with enough executives with experience (like they had no HR and stuff like that). Prior to that deal he was working with some organization that was doing a really good job of protecting him against bad PR, but when he went with Amazon he kicked them to the curb. That's why all of these allegations started coming out all all of a sudden around that time.
