“Why get the facts right when outrage equals more views and ads” - I think that is how a lot of those people think

Honestly, I would not have cared even if the skins were $1000 each.... first, skins are cosmetic and as such you don’t really need them, so as a responsible adult don’t spend money that you don’t have on things you don’t need, these exact temptations exist in real life so stop with “I want it I must get it bs”... second, these skins aren’t gambling because you exactly know what you are paying for. My issue with loot boxes is that they are basically a game of chance that has a very slim possibility of the spenders actually getting what they want to get; these skins aren’t it... third, as mentioned by BioWare themselves, the claims are baseless. Please people stop with the rumors and negativity and let’s all enjoy this marvelous new game.

I think it's true, to some extent, that people need to just accept that they don't need every available item, and especially if they're cosmetic items, just ignore what they don't plan to buy. That said, a full priced game focused on progression needs to have lots of in game items included with the base game. So far, it seems Anthem does have a lot, but we'll see how it charts through the progression in the final release. Also, slow your roll on "marvelous new game" - I'm as open to it being great as anyone, but we'll know when the final release is here.

Exalted March lol sorry for the over enthusiasm. I was never a fan of multiplayer online games, strangely enough, Anthem succeeded in changing my mind. Maybe I am biased when it comes to BioWare, but I was really impressed by the idea and feel of the game. Now I am basically counting days till the day I get to play the full game... 😆😂😂

Looks like Angry Joe, Yea and Layman owe us an apology. But of course it’s more likely they’ll only blame EA and not admit their mistakes. 😔

I like Angry Joe, and I always give the caveat that him being super amped up is just part of his shtick, but he does really over simplify the concept of pricing strategy and dismisses BioWare's official response in the Reddit thread. I understand cynicism, but being totally against something without more concrete info is the same as being totally hyped and blindly for it without similar certain info.

I tend not to subscribe to many big youtubers, so I'm not really sure what they are saying.

Awesome. Granted still not a fan of microtransactions, but so long as it doesn't get as bad as Battlefront Two and you can unlock everything for free just by playing. And if the story is still good. Then I will still give it a chance. But mostly I am going to wait and see how it all plays out.

I wish I could get this at launch but unfortunately my PC is on the fritz and I’m not able to get my PS4 til May so it looks like I’m going to have to wait until then before I’m able to play this. But I’m really routing for BioWare and I hope they’ll overcome the overwhelming hatred, especially from the CDPRObsidian fanboys who want BioThesda to be destroyed, and continue to improve.

Hey Exalted March, you think you can do a video on how you and a few others still like BioWare despite the social norm of worshiping CDPRObsidian as a god and deeming everyone who like BioWare as heretics?
@ExaltedMarch6 жыл бұрын
Well, I really really like CDPR. It's not a mutually exclusive choice. I even quite like Bethesda games (I've made a few videos on Skyrim as well). I'm really liking Warhorse now with KCD. I love Obsidian and quite looking forward to Outer Worlds. Guerilla proved with Horizon that they can move into the RPG space. And we can't forget Larian with Divinity: Original Sin. The RPG space is actually quite good. There's a lot to be excited for. I still love BioWare titles, but really it's a matter of them learning they have to innovate and push forward the genre again. It's weird how mainstream audiences have decided to make it cool to bash them, but I still think criticizing in a constructive way is the best bet for BioWare getting back to the top of the RPG pile.

Some of the larger content creators are not only ignoring obvious facts but they are making them up as they go. I watched 1 youtuber this morning who literally said 'it is funny watching EA push that anthem has no loot boxes and the irony given fifa'......so loot boxes are in EA is the devil, loot boxes are out EA is the devil......what the fuck. I watched another one compare warframes microtransactions to anthem and holy fuck, without context that is the dumbest comparison ever, if you stamped EA on warframe people would lose their shit over their microtransactions and I love that game. End result, it does not matter what Bioware or EA does, people hate EA, content creators tent pole EA as the root of all evil because it generates views from angry mobs. EA is not a good company, but it is also not unique, if you are going to attack EA then ubisoft, activision and many others all need to take the same hits but don't. I watched a prominent WoW youtuber talk about how "$20 for a skin is bullshit and will destroy Anthem and any trust bioware has!" oh yea...you mean like WoW that charges a boxed price, expansion prices, subscription AND $30 FOR A FUCKING MOUNT? thats cool though right..... Judge all companies by the same standard. Also EM I suggest watching Dantics, he said a lot that was similar from someone who has played the full game this week.
