@@NuurFilm for Lumix g7 you have to buy it Micro fouth thirds (m4/3) mount format. If you already bought it for another camera mount (Sony E/ Canon EF), you will have to buy an adapter, but a cheap one will do since the sigma 16 even on m4/3 mount is still an APS-C lens size, be sure to get an electronic mount adapter though, otherwise you will only be able to use it on manual mode.

Great video! I use a lumix G7 and the standard lens that came with it but only for video content for KZbin and zoom events etc. I don’t bring it in the field. If I’m in the field shooting I’m usually using my iPhone. Q: I Love the definition on this video and really would like to step up my quality. Would you recommend the Sigma? Or a different lens?

Hello friend, one question, do you recommend the Sony a6000 for long streams, I have a little doubt and fear since I do live streams on twitch and they are long maybe 4 or maybe 6 hours and obviously the camera will be connected to a fake battery connected to the electricity all the time, that's why the reason for my fear when streaming I don't know if the camera overheats they told me that the Lumix G7 doesn't overheat in video and I don't know which one to choose I would appreciate it if you gave me your opinion, I hope see your answers, thanks.

Buy a wider angle lens (like a 7mm) or a camera with a bigger sensor. MFT has a 2x crop full frame equivalent.

Great video, m43 is calling you back with the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema 4K. Glad you liked the lens, its also in my G7 right now. My plan is to move toward teh BM pocket soon, with all the m43 i own, although still considering a total switch to sony. Btw for your in desk frontal facing videos, what lens you recommend? guess it depends on what and how much you wish to capture of you and the background, but in your opinion, what would be the ideal focal distance that you use?

For me the 12mm has been 100% perfect for right above my monitor. However, I just swapped over to the sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 (at 18mm) w/ a viltrox speedbooster and it's amazing. But yeah for normal, comfortable webcam framing, 12mm-16mm usually works.

For most needs the Pocket 4K beats it by a long shot (until we see what their raw implementation looks like) but it's a sweet camera for custom rigging and streaming and multi-cam setups, etc. Still a decent value at 2k, just beat by 1300 for BMD's offering. 4K120 is cool but there's some jaggies in it. I might be getting the GS one to review (lower specs tho) but thus far they've not followed through on what they say they'll send me.

Your asking the same generic question that everyone of us asks at some point in their progression, and the ultimate answer is it depends. Its not about just having 1 lens, but a set. Each lens has its purpose, its place in your arsenal of options. I know this would exceed your budget, but if I could only have 1 lens for cinematography on a budget, it would be the Sigma 18-35mm giving you an effective 25-50mm f1.2 lens. But that's going to double your budget very easily. With that said, the Sigma 16mm f1.4 shown here is another great option. I use it as my always carry low light lens as m43 is not good in low light. I have the Sig 18-35, its just too heavy for me to bring everywhere I go if I don't intend to use it. I always carry my 12-60mm f2.8-4 and Laowa 7.5mm for wide shots. But every shooter has their own way they like to shoot and only you will ultimately be able to answer what lens would work best for your shooting style. Don't give up on your 'kit lens', there more capable the most people give them credit.

The Olympus 12-40 2.8 pro can be got used within your budget and it's an incredible lens, it's stuck on my G80 most of the time. You have IBIS so the lens not having OIS doesn't matter. It's very good for video, it focuses plenty fast enough for most situations, AF is much better with this lens than most others for the system.

This lens on APS-C is gorgeous! Especially combined with the good Sony autofocus of like an a6300 or a6500... 24mm full frame is a really nice focal length...
