My thoughts too. But, also, the other marks had other meaning: two marks = 1 jump to "enter" and 1 jump to "exit". That's why he thought it was the way he did.

@@MoundN NP. In general, I agree with you, softlocks before CPs aren't too big a deal. It can still occasionally come down to haphazard design, e.g. semi-solids at the top of the screen, and cutting them out early (on shorter, simpler levels) can still help you out later making more complicated levels (keeping good design habits and all). But yeah, if I'm on a one-screen puzzle level and jump through a one-way gate, I'm not gonna lose it over that.

Panga doesn't realize it, but... that wasn't a bad level. It provided a genuine challenge that required planning and execution to get through, and didn't commit to any bad design like troll blocks or hidden powerups. I would have liked it.

Yup. From my experience, he hates any level he actually has to apply thought to, instead of just following easily read speedrunning markers (even if reaction times need to be on point to follow them).
