The history of this tank is so sad. Basically they made it and literally everyone loved it and said it was very comfortable, reliable and easy to operate and maintain but then at the last second the army was like "oh btw can it swim?" (Because the pt76 was now a thing) and they were like no not really. So they canceled the entire project.

To clarify a few things: 1: It was Congress that canned the project, not the Army. 2: It was canceled in response to the PT-76, not the BMP-1. 3: The T92 was still very much a prototype, and as a result wasn’t perfect, with the T92’s tracks being a source of a few issues.

Day 10 of telling spookston to play the IT1. its a ATGM launcher on the t62 chassis, it has decent-ish mobility, the turret is squished. You can hide behind cover and shoot ATGM over the cover like a gremlin and you overpressure tanks (tho it can be rare, but it does happen without you realizing) and its MG is really werid. Also it has a cool reload animation.

If you want a fast, small, 50. Cal-able, ratty tank that has its main gun slapped slightly above its roof, with a round with late apfsds amounts of pen, play the fiat 6614. You can pen nearly ANYTHING without era with over 400mm of pen. [Day 8]

@@el_gato8109 433mm of pen is still good at 8.0, even in uptiers, and the R3 is faster, and can stand .50 cals to the front (except for the window), plus you get 2 of the rifles.

I got the LekPKz M41 before I got the regular M41 and now I refuse to play the American one because it’s just straight up worse (yeah yeah it has a lower BR but I play 6.7 so much more than 6.3)

Use APCR then, Spook 0:18 also, maybe Chieftain Mk.3 + Mk.5 for next vids? these things are situational, but if they get a good hill, and some open map, they rule. fairly underrated tanks in my opinion, as much as they are not too strong in survivability, their guns are amazing. even without APFSDS or Thermals. also, they don't loose as much mobility compared to other MBTs of this br for an actual survivability increase (tank is bigger, easy to shoot and do nothing, 120 1shots most of things). Reload is good too, with avg crew i get less than 10 seconds reload rate

I generally prefer APDS but for the T92 HEAT-FS seems to be more effective. I like to use the low profile to snipe at some range, at which point APDS is just too unreliable to penetrate. 127mm pen at 60° means you can penetrate a lot of heavy tanks at any range.

I may actually be responsible for having a bug with this tank fixed. The coax machine gun would only fire when the entire turret was facing forward. I sent a detailed bug report about it and a few days later the gun was working as it should.

I lik how when you are playing the T92 a lot of player shoot you in front in hull but there is your engine so the engine will eat the round and you are completely fine. T92 is one of my favorite tanks, it helped me to get my first nuke!
