I remember seeing his first video. I was a bit hesitant to watch it as the channel was not that big. And I have a huge issue with videos that are poor sound quality. I don't mind video quality that much but sound has to be on point But I'm so glad I watched it! And also remember thinking that I shouldn't judge a channel by it's viewer count but by the content quality.

I've watched and subbed to Nyx from the first Poe video he put out. I was hooked because it was truly a genuine first time player experience because other player will usually check the game and see the comments saying that it's a very complicated game and they prepare and do research before playing. This made me feel nostalgic of back when I was a first time player too. The community guiding Nyx via comment section and later on discord and now doing streams and collabs with big streamers makes us feel like parents looking at our child grow 😂 Congratulations Nyx! and Congratulations Ziz on your 2nd child!

Depth vs Complexity is a very real topic! Here's an example: POE1 gem socketing vs POE2 gem socketing. The end results for both gem socketing systems are basically the same, main skill + linked supports, but consider all the things POE2 removed from the process to get there. 1. No longer on equipment which makes changing gear easier 2. No longer requires linking 3. Sockets are added and recolored deterministically (Goodbye benchcraft socket trick for off colors) They can certainly take it too far but most of the time if you can keep the depth while reducing complexity it's gonna be a win.

This was a great little talk Ziz :) Also congrats on second child in May :) I love Path of exile and have thousands of hrs in it and i will continue to play poe 1 even when poe 2 is out. Looking forward to jumping between them I think it is absolutely possible to keep the depth but remove complexity, Path of exile is complex because it doesn't explain stuff very well to players. Feel like people confuse depth and complexity all the time. - Getting rid of sockets on gear = great for everyone - Showing what a passive point does to your skills when hovering your mouse over it, also takes away some complexity but doesn't change the depth - Gold for respec and cheaper at lower levels but more expensive at higher levels is also great. Still doesn't remove depth. - You can have up to 9 six links in poe 2. Opens up a lot of different skill uses etc. - We will also still probably break the game many times with different builds. We also know that they want our characters to be able to get to a point where we are still clearing whole screens of mobs. Just a couple of examples, there's probably a lot more im forgetting but i haven't seen anything that makes poe 2 look like it has less depth. They are still going to have different crafting systems but instead of every system interacting with all items, specific systems interact with certain items. Sounds a lot better to me then: here is 40 crafting systems and they interact with all item slots. Yes they are changing some of the currency items and removing some of them but they will still be there. Path of exile kinda needed some sort of reset and poe 2 is the best way to do that. We know that many of the poe 1 league mechanics will be in poe 2, in some shape or form but reworked if they have to and the big point of the new campaign is to introduce systems to players Of course it's hard to really know until we play it and they have balanced the game how they want it during the 6 months or more of beta, but every time i see or learn something new about poe 2, i get more excited. The animations on player character's and enemies look fantastic. The skills and effects look amazing, the music and ambiance sounds great and the graphics look great. im also really looking forward to see how combat feels since there is a lot more combo's you can do with skills solo and with other people + dodge roll is nice :P Another thing that makes poe 1 complex for no reason is how a lot of stuff work in the game. Sometimes things lack logic. You think something works a certain way but it doesn't at all.

Ah man, come on. If youre a new player, it is not a bad idea, at all, to just play the game similar to Ziz. Solo, self found. Run the game by yourself, only ysing what you can find and make. Thats how I played for my first like...6 months. I just got after it. Looked up crafting mechanics, learned about what the different currency types are used for inside of crafting and what exactly makes a good item. So doing that, with a build you made yourself...kind of on the fly and then it like face plants at the endgame. Welp, shit happens. It happened to my first character. But i wasnt even mad because i knew way more than when i started and i had an idea of what i did wrong and could do better. Also, my knowledge allowed me to better be able to interpret and follow a build guide Do it broski

On the topic of loot filters, while the LE UI is much nicer when it comes to editing individual filters, if you want to make changes to multiple filters, or change the same affix list that you use on multiple rules, it is a lot more comfortable to do it in VS Code, where you can multi line select and compare files and search/replace.

GG is a very deceitful company. I propose to organize an action on March 17 for players against the hypocritical and fascist rules of the ban, Namely to delete their characters or stop logging into the game from this date when it is illegal to ban and this is a practical death for the account neither to trade nor to write to everyone without adding friends People spend a lot of money on tabs and as a result they can't use them They have to buy everything again, although when they bought tabs they did not sign any documents with the new ban rules I ask all the Smart Ones to support the action on March 17 , the bald fraudster must be punished, PS who has the opportunity to go to court against a fraudster
