Let's kick off a new series similar to Reptox or the EverQuest Classic Adventures series like Flatts HD. This will be featuring a monk and shaman duo as they conquer Norrath. I create the characters in this video and get up to level 4. Everfrost, Qeynos, and Qeynos Aqueducts are my hunting grounds.

Flatts is what got me back into EQ as well sir! I started watching Flatts adventures and day dreaming over my days of old on EQ. I joined P99 because it sounded fun, decided to roll a bard and fell in love with the class, which is eventually what brought me to your channel. I got tired of the end game race on P99 and just knew i had to join the next TLP and take my bard past Velious and beyond. I'm on Thornblade as well, maybe one day we'll group in passing!

I came back to EQ a couple months ago on Rizlona and watched your bard videos. Made me want to play a bard for the first time ever (had played pretty much every class except that). Thanks for all the great videos! I am playing on Thornblade as well, so I look forward to this series :)

The aqueducts are my favorite part of starting a new character,. LOVE this zone. Feels like home to me. I'm also super proud of the fact that the map I drew back in 1999 is still out there. Being added too and modified over the years. Even if it is misattributed to Quix instead of Qix.

Dang, you went Thornblade, I am on Mischief (started Day 1), your videos got me to try and main as Bard. I did play bard to 40s (Druid was my main to 54) back when I use to play EQ from 1999 to 2002. Now I am only lvl 32 Bard on Mischief and I have been hard press to find a guild and get into groups.

Great video! I love the effort you put in it but I have a question, how did you play both the monk and shaman at the same time? Do you have two separate computers? Or do you have someone playing with you?

Two separate computers on 2 separate paid accounts. Thornblade is a truebox server so you can't play from the same computer. Other servers are different though. I know some people who have 6 tabs of EQ up on 1 computer on Firiona Vie for example.

I want episode 2 right now, m'kay? :) I always started on the Freeport side, so it will be great fun to see how you fare on the Qeynos side. I hope you'll be doing the sashes/head band quests (don't remember which ones are on which side of the continent). You could say they are part of the epic in the long run. Not sure if any of the other classes could "start their epics" at level 1. :)

Gear quests aren't super common that early but if you're a small race, I think the armor you get from crushbone belts will suffice. A lot of people also go for a set of crafted banded armor. About 1pp per AC

I have not see that targeting ring pattern before, with the 3 sections of color and the moving circle. Is that some sort of add-on or an option you can select in the Options tab? Good video. Well done!

It's a custom ring from some eq mod site. I have to slap it in the eq folder everytime I boot up the game unfortunately.

wonder why these tlp servers dont use the original interface, spell icons and a map, seems strange to see this UI when just starting out with the release. Do you see any other QOL improvements over the original?

Quicker exp, don't have to wait for boats, solution to overcrowding of grouping zones, & instances raids. Those are the big ones.
