What a sorry excuse of a husband and father- to offer a helpless girl and woman to the rioters! Yes, I understand that hospitality was greatly valued and the father‘s offer is supposed to show that. But still- the Levite is a coward and the woman was wise to run back to her father, she should have stayed there. And even in the end, the girls pay the price. They are possessions, not human beings.

That is why we should obey our parents' good intentions no matter how old we are. This story brought me to tears.

@@whitemare2721 Did you listen to the story at all? The father, the man who gave the man and his concubine shelter, offered his own virgin daughter to the rioters! No, we should not always listen to our parents. Some parents have mental disorders, for example.

In order to have everlasting life you absolutely must trust in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation ❣️ this means that saving repentance is turning from unbelief to belief.

I know the Bible says she was unfaithful to him. But honestly, I kinda wondered to what extent did she cheat and leave him and run back home? Like in this video they make it sound like the man loved his concubine and he was affectionate towards her. But I never felt like he ever actually loved her? I feel like this was a one sided, abusive, toxic relationship. maybe she was meant to bare him children but now that she cheated, he felt like that part of the plan was destroyed so he had no regard for her and forced her out to the pigs in the street? Obviously, there's a reason she was a concubine and not a wife. I think with her leaving him and going back home to her father for 4 months, seems to me that she was running from an abusive man, or from someone she did not feel safe with? The man went to get her because, not so much that he missed her but because he was losing control of his servant girl. And he wanted to get that control back. And he used his charms with her and her father to woo her back. He sounds like a manipulative narcistic guy. Her father, who doesn't seem to be that great of a character himself, or just a very poor judge of one, why did he try so desperately to make the man stay at his house? Was he having a bad feeling about something? Did something inside him tell him that once he let them go, he would never see his daughter again? Another thing that really got me though is, how the man, his servant and concubine, and their donkeys were left outside all day with nobody offering to take them in? All day until dusk? That's pretty odd. Especially when you're sitting in a city of people from your own lineage. Your distant cousins. People knew their own tribes and how they looked and dressed and talked, yet nobody offered any food or housing except one old man. It makes me wonder about Why? Did people not offer anything to the man.. Was he a not very liked person? Did he have a bad reputation? Did they feel like they couldn't trust him? And another odd thing, is how the men of belial knew they went to lodge at the old man's house but they didn't do anything while they were out in the town square? And how is homosexuality such a greater sin than rape? And gang rape at that? Rape was definitely a sin worthy of death in the Bible. And how you could offer your own daughters to be raped by a bunch of city men? And his reaction to her lying there at the door like, "Well, it's time to get moving." As if nothing happened and they were just chilling with a cup of coffee before their long journey. Like what a sick twisted dog!

This story isn't completely accurate.. some of the things mentioned didn't actually happen in Judges. You appear to have added the story in Genesis with this story.

I chose to read the Chapters from the Bible than watch the video, following the caution: First and foremost this woman was said to be a Concubine, who left this man and returned to her folks. He followed her to reclaim her, as his wife. Wasn't this man supposed to obey the Father of his concubine? He then gives her up to be raped😮. At that point, God spoke to the Israelites, why didn't they kneel down and pray to God for protection, instead of giving her up to save himself and then proceed to dismember her and cry foul. There are lessons worth learning from this. 1. Show respect to elders. 2. Women have been victims since the beginning of time. 3. Lack of Faith and trust in the living God. God was responding immediately to the Israelites at that time, but they chose to forget Him and approach Him later and yet still spoke to them. Lot was indeed brave and faithful to God because he simply refused to hand over the Angels to the men who were knocking at his door.

Women are victimizers, not victims. Only a small percentage are actually victims.

@@collinshardyproust God didn’t let it happen… He gave mankind free will and these people chose to do evil. If He stepped in on every thing we did we would be robots. Free will is a gift. That’s why the Bible says “suffer a witch not to live, they manipulate people’s lives. God doesn’t want anyone manipulating people for their own gain.

The tribe of Israel didn't ask liked David if the Lord will give the Benjaminite into their hands before they went to war!
@AbrahamManuel-JCАй бұрын
I am not sure that Israelites heard God when they wanted to fight against their brother Benjaminite. God never urged people to solve the problem by deadly fight. They heard the devil voice, and because they desired to fight, to shade the blood.

Why so mucch injustices towards women. Why was it that society treated woman worst then livestock. How savage can society be or why did god allow all of this inimageable inhuman suffering on innocent women in the first place. How could those men savagly inflect bruital abuse on a womans body. Sorry, I am having great difficulty in 😢 accepting this as the will of god. Where was justice for the scarfice of those poor young women ?????
