i also love the idea that you can program a chest full of items as a random sequence and pull out an item at a time. That way you don't rely on minecrafts internal RNG and can entirely control everything. You just have to be wary of the items stacking if you want to re-cycle them. In some games, stuff like this is used to prevent the randomness from screwing with you, e.g. preventing long streaks of one output.

Randomizer based on cauldrons filling up with water. Randomizer based on observing Amethyst crystal bud growth. Randomizer based on monster spawner special spawns, ex- detecting baby zombie spawns from a spawner.

Original and interesting vidéo at all :) . Oh ... for the homework you gave, the first idea coming make me think about : 1)water freezing conditions, 2)cauldron filling conditions (with rain and/or dripstone), 3)fire spreading conditions (near a lava spot), 4)zombie pigmen out of a portal spawn conditions and 5)lightning strike conditions. Ok we can do this with observers but is there another way, in the fluff of the random generating method ?

@@wearron yes but that is one extra block for every direction you want the signal of that redstone ore to go, which adds up depending on the size of your system, and it also means you can only get the signal started from one block away from the ore in the specific direction of the observer. So we lost the more compact option and gained no functionality in terms of redstone.

If you really want, you can use a daylight detector under the redstone ore in the ground to send a signal out when it lights up

Also you can detect when a crop if fully grown with a hopper and 7 items, but is single use so the only use I gave it was mines

I was playing on a server with an OP casino that had this redstone. I clipped through the wall, found mechs and clogged the machine so I'd get Jackpot almost all the time. And I didnt have to pay diamonds nor netherite ingots to pay, cuz I found a way to throw anything into the system to make it work))))
