What I have learnt in life is to build very strong self esteem and don’t even think about entering a relationship until your have clear values and strong boundaries about what you want and never compromise those things. There are some very abusive people in this world and abuse can be so subtle. If you don’t have self esteem right now - you can build it. But never enter a relationship without feeling strong.

You can give a man everything he asked for as his needs. And it still won't work out. He can't meet your needs when he knows he doesn't deserve you. Because he doesn't really want you. If you try love a man who doesn't love himself and when he knows he doesn't deserve you, it also won't work out. See people for who they are, not what you want them to be. If he is a people pleaser, drinks heavily, has money, entertains, claims to love people so so much. Run. They usually have a handful of women on dial. You usually see the cracks early on. Stringy, they self loathe so you try to build them up. He isn't worthy of the building up because he needs to do that himself

Relevant Hint - Respectful men ask women how they like to be treated instead of insisting that the traditional “gentlemen” rules make him respectable. Gentlemen rules were created by men. Treat a woman like an individual not a gender and she will respect you more.
@rileysponberg73795 жыл бұрын
Wendi J this is pure gold thank you for sharing!
@laurenel66815 жыл бұрын
Wendi J I see your point but I think that intent matters. If a man is holding a door in an attempt to show respect, that isn’t a bad thing, if she says hey I don’t need you to hold doors, instead do (whatever) I think most men with the intent of giving true respect would gladly switch to a different means of showing that respect. The assumption that he’s treating her like a gender and not a person is pretty cynical, they aren’t mind readers.
@stockmannp0025 жыл бұрын
Wendi J that is right but I enjoy the old chivalry and the old traditional roles. But I understand what you are saying. My man believes in traditional roles as well so it works great for us. I guess it depends on what your partner believed.
@AlehaDarabaka4 жыл бұрын
Im also into genderless roles yet call myself a gentlewoman that will equally open doors for men and women. Equally pay for them. Equally get them gifts inc flowers if they enjoy them. I will spoon into them etc... I'll enjoy them doing gentlemen things as long as i can equally be a gentlewoman and do them for them as well inc romancing them. Im a fan of it goes both ways equal effort. Doesnt have to be exact same things done for each other. Be yourself. But that things are equally done for each other. Equal energy exchange. Equal partners.
@leeslyrose4 жыл бұрын
Gentleman rules were created by women. The man steps up like that bc it is the girl who expects to be treated like that. No guy will be asking you how to treat you, they will see how you treat yourself and what you expect and they will either meet it or flake. If they flake, they weren’t that interested in the first place.

I think it's not about being difficult--it's about maintaining your boundaries and NOT being afraid of losing him. he'll value and appreciate you much more. And if after a few months he's not moving towards commitment there's one thing to say...."Next!!!" you deserve someone who's crazy about you and isn't afraid to show it ladies!!!! ❤❤❤

I recently heard a similar explanation of this concept. Yes the man is supposed to protect and love his wife significant other etc. and the woman is supposed to respect her man! However it is the man’s responsibility to love and protect first if he doesn’t love and protect The woman then she won’t respect him. And to my ladies it’s also believed that we are here to be POWERFUL!!💪💯

I can't feel loved without feeling respected first and I will always choose to be respected over being loved, because first I need to love and respect myself and I'm not doing that if I allow others to devalue me. I will give respect when I am receiving it, but I've stopped being a doormat who allows rude behavior. If they are not treating me respectfully then it's not and can never be loving. I'm over all these rules and mind fuckery! If it's love, if it's meant to be, then it will be natural and easy and people will just show up in the relationship for each other and will both want to be there. It should not be so hard and when one is acting like they no longer want to be there, then maybe it's time to just let them go. Relationships don't work on the power and desire of just one.

I am a well respected person in my community. Hold down a good job, have a business as well and have had a very good life not to mention I am abundant. I met a man 5 years ago and loved and respected him. I realized after a while that he was not a respectful person when I saw behavours from him when he took off his mask. I realized he came from a toxic dysfunctional family who knew no boundries when it came to drinking, sex, and social behavour. It was a free for all, anything goes and in the way for sex anyone would do. My life, my career, my love for him, my understanding pertaining to where he came from and anything good I brought to this relationship did not matter. He preferred to skip a movie to go out drinking with toxic friends and sleep with someone he did not know. He preferred to be unemployed and live of assistance even though there was nothing wrong with him. He preferred to fake depression, anxiety, etc. to get more and more money of the govt. to give him his lifestyle of drinking, and the free bad behavour that he showed on a daily basis. He lived with me for free and had all the benefits of whatever he wanted but put nothing into this connection. He did not respect himself or anyone in his life. We are not together any more but I do feel that instead of spending 5 years trying to help someone like I did I should have looked at his background and run for the hills. They are manipulators and squeeze everything out of people that they want without asking. Just talking about it and passing hints knowing fully well that if that person can afford it they will get it. That is what my person did.

Respect is not the main component in a relationship (it's on of the men's needs but not the main one). Many women respect their men but get used and abused by men. Brian, you should look much deeper into this... its all about natural reflexes and hormones. Men have predominantly testosterone. They have needs to fight, chase, and have uncertainty. When woman acts as an open-book, showing constant interest, trying to please a man, it's turns men off. Why do you think men fell in love with women who are hard to get ?

Great video, thanks Brian! Accepting and respecting his masculinity (not “him” per se, or the broken behaviours sometimes exhibited-because all humans are broken in many different ways) brings out the best version of a man. This is the power that a feminine woman embodies; masculine women don’t understand it. A man will adore a truly feminine women; indeed, die for her. Not so with a masculine woman; she sees feminine and masculine as an issue of equality instead of opposites that magnetise. Obviously, she doesn’t need (or want) the protection, provision and nourishment that a good male offers, so she reaps what she’s sown into the world - women who act low value attract low value, then get pissed when the men they attract ACT low value.

What if you're naturally a sort of masculine woman? I'm an engineer and a tomboy. To men at work, I'm either not given respect or else I'm the competition. But I mostly attract men who are gentle, and I think that they feel respected because I value their interests and attitudes. Dating a woman who is competent and self-sufficient who prefers their style to the "Alpha" type makes them feel masculine and successful.
@gerberdaisy23884 жыл бұрын
@@dbalgp1047 I believe reverse polarities are the same. If you are more comfortable living in your masculine energy and value being respected then that will totally work if you have a man who is strongly in his feminine and is happy to be receiving. It is the "beta" type you attract because you are in your boy energy. True masculine males won't regard you, or be attracted because you present incongruity: look like a girl behave like a boy (in simple terms). We all have testosterone and live in it from time to time. The men at your work, I'm guessing, aren't giving you respect because true masculine males know you are not a man and the bit of testosterone (masculine strength) that you are trying to live in (being equal to a man) ... well, that makes you competition: it is the nature of the hormone of testosterone. You cannot change it anymore than you can change the softness of femininity. As far as being competent and self-sufficient, I am both of those and live almost 90% of my life as a very feminine female. The polarity reversal works great as long as both partners stay in those energies.

Women do not cause men to be insecure. Sometimes you can give a man all your respect and admiration and he just doesn’t believe you because he doesn’t have confidence in himself. You are assuming that all men or normal and respond to this type of praise with love.

I agree, it doesn't matter what I say, even when it's coming from the heart, his lack of self confidence just diffuses it, a form of self sabotage I guess.

It is better to have a pet and concentrate on oneself than to have someone in life romantically. Relationship is so stressful and no matter how much you love someone there is no assurance he/she can love you back.

I use some of those tricks to make my students do better. Especially the boys. Let me elaborate. For example, if a student fails for a little bit a test, I don't change the grade even if he begs me to death (girls usually don't do that) and I reply "it's up to you, prove me that you can do better" . That motivates them so much that they maintain good grades through out all the year. Of course I recognize when they have done well and give them a smile and a few nice words. It's just enough to get them going!
