Let’s see if: (A) Mitch can actually come back (B) they look different on defense with Mitch I don’t agree with Thibs on Hukporti-but I think Thibs *did* see poor boxing out by Hukporti resulting in subpar rebounding. Huk must work on his boxing out/rebounding to see more minutes from Thibs

It’s okay to doubt Thibs on this one… Sims hasn’t developed his game an inch since we drafted him. Too small to be an effective rim protector, zero contribution on offense. His only contribution to this rotation is his jumping ability. Not sure how Thibs will justify playing Sims over Huk once Precious comes back.

I watch every Knicks game. Dude has no wingspan so yeah he lacks the size to be a reliable rim protector. As soon as Precious returns he brings zero value to this team. Leon should step in and deal him to force Thibs hand.

Sims is one of the best rim protectors in the small minutes he receives, and he also understands the defensive scheme. Hukporti isn’t there. Plain and simple! It’s not happening until he learns.

@ Well correct me if I am wrong, but the only way for Ariel to get there is to play more minutes with the starting 5 to understand the tactical side of the game. Or has things changed that I am not aware of. Ariel is bigger, tougher and has proven he can protect the rim case made

Unstoppable...NO. Will they grow into a contender...Yes, if Thibbs doesn't run them onto the disabled list. Huk has way more tools than Sims and should be the backup until Mitch gets back. Assist to turnover ratio and floor spacing is way better than last year. Defense, not as good.
