I am pretty sure that it would have costed no less than 20-30 crores to build it. If it is fully made up of marble, then it could be even 40 crores or more. If you want to buy a small basic marble temple(mandir) for your home also, the costs starts at around 30k. I am talking about the prices in Rajasthan as I live here, so you can imagine the prices in other parts of the country. I cannot digest his words that it only costed him 2 crore rupees. Or, he might have forgotten to say dollar word after 2 crore. LOL!!

@@jayantsingh3078 recently went to Taj Mahal. We had hired a senior guide + historian. He told us that it's a fake news. Instead there was a pact with those workers in which they were not allowed to work again and huge amount of money was given to them to live a good life. You can check anywhere, ask the most senior historians or anyone. Multiple times it has been clarified on news channels and on other portals too but some people find the fake news of workers hands being cut more interesting so they keep spreading it without acknowledging the truth. Taj is a great asset to us. People from other countries die to see it once in their life. It's our duty to protect it from all the false claims. We should be proud!

Actually the real Shahjahan or Mumtaj unfortunate bcoz Mumtaj has not seen this or knew about this and Shahjahan can't visit even. Its a memory, it is. Even Shah Jahan can't live there right?. Shah Jahan would spend most of his time at the Taj . Later Jahangir made him prisoner In his own fort by seizing power from his own father. Shah Jahan would watch Taj Mahal from the fort and spend hours looking at it and in memory of his most loved wife. Kings had 100s of wives during ancient times. It's a big thing to admit that , one was favourite for her he built the Taj.
