On October 10, 2021, Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a disturbance call in Sparta, WI. The caller reported her boyfriend was destroying her place and took her truck. A deputy attempted a traffic stop, however, he fled and crashed the truck into a creek. Deputies searched the area and were unsuccessful in finding him. They returned to the caller's residence to explain the situation but another individual happened to show up there as well...

I love how helpful everyone is. I live in Texas and even in most nice areas people wouldn't give a second of their time to a cop. I make sure to say hi and chat with 'em a bit if they have time. I talk to people for a living, so I'm not terrible at it. They're always really nice and amicable people. Heck, the once or twice that I've been arrested (not paying tickets when I was younger, I'm a bit less stupid now) the officers were extremely friendly. I was little more than a boy and quite distraught over this cruel twist of fate, and I asked the arresting officer if he thought I was a bad guy. He said, "no, you seem like a good kid that made a bad decision. You live and learn." Later, another cop was hanging around the jail with some of his buddies and they were doing a small BBQ in a courtyard or something. He offered me a burger, something I'll remember until the day I die. It was delicious 🤣

I live in Texas as well and got stopped by a cop twice one night when all I was doing was walking. The first time he stopped me he asked what I was doing and I told him I was just taking a walk, he was really persistent about giving me a ride but he made me uncomfortable and I said I was fine and walked away. He stopped me with another officer on another street and got out of his car and questioned me and searched my purse and asked for my Driver's license when I wasn't even driving. I am actually kind of afraid of cops now. I used to thank them for what they do. I thanked one cop a month ago and then he ended up questioning my daughter after I'd just dropped her off at work because she has the same hair color as someone who did something wrong across the street from her workplace. I've thought about taking my town police department to court for harassing me and my daughter. Smh!

I was driving, I had a few drinks that night like two beers and she started an argument with me. I never put my hands on her I was already on parole and obsconding out of Michigan. She knew this and I knew she was gonna try and turn me in so I took her truck which already had the keys in it and that she gave me permission to drive earlier that day to take the garbage down to garbage place. I ran from police for almost 2 1/2 hrs. I shouldn't have ran it was a mistake because I was already on parole. She turned me in for the $500 bounty and plus robbed me of all my money on my card $9,700 and kept all my clothes, and jewelry, and shoes, I was homeless staying with her and every thing I owned was in two backpacks she caused me allot of problems just because she was a greedy and selfish person and a liar. Yes I was guilty for running from the police but I wasn't guilty of hurting her she had no marks on her and also she lied to the police about me messing her house up. There wasn't a single thing out of place. But in a way I'm happy that she did what she did because it taught me a valuable life lesson. And the 28m that I did 16m fighting that case and the 12m in Michigan prison after I was extradited back there. I read allot of these comments on hear and I gotta say the world ain't short of evil people. But I want every one to know that I'm sorry for running from the police, but I forgive her and everyone who made negative comments towards me in this. Some of these comments made me feel miserable and depressed for a long time and I am now in therapy for it. Everyone have a blessed day.

Glad I learned before getting caught. Slowest vehicle I used was a Miata once. Fastest was a Yamaha but I wrecked and had to run into the forest. Sucked. Spontaneous utterances are admissible in court when no interrogatory questions are asked. Now if those statements where made in response to a question asked by the police then it would be inadmissible. However only two questions where asked by the police. First, "why didn't you?" in response to Kris saying he could out run the police. Second, "what happened to your nose?" when Kris denied crashing the F150. The only one that the prosecutor may have wanted to use with the question about his nose. However, with how damning this whole event is and the amount of evidence against Kris that question alone is not going to make or break the charges. With that said. I'm no lawyer and this is all an interpretation of the laws I've read looking into this.

@@theangrypc4642 Very good. You're mostly right. The so-called "Miranda Warning" is not required to be read to an arrestee unless they are going to be questioned regarding a specific crime. All the things this guy said to the police on body camera is admissible in court because he made these statements freely, and was not being questioned at the time of the arrest. If they are going to question him about the original offense (domestic battery), then they WILL be required to advise him, and he will have the right not to answer any questions, and will have access to a lawyer. Had this ass clown simply said; "why were you chasing me? I don't know what you're talking about. I want a lawyer", and then just kept his big mouth shut; he would have been doing the smart thing. But as we can tell from his beer gut; he is not the soundest brick in the wall.

I do applaud him for being the one ready to take the initiative to do it so the others didn't have to. What's funny is when you just comply with the cop's instructions to do whatever, things don't really get so bad for you. I watched a video the other day where a guy was arrested but he was being honest and cool with the cops. The funny part was there were things the cops could have added to the charges, but because the guy was cool calm and honest they didn't even consider those illegal things. They even apologized for having to arrest him because it was a computer thing when they ran his name. They were real helpful to the guy and even helped him make a call for posting bond so he could go to work the next day. Weirdest thing is the guy was black and the cops did nothing racist against him. It was his willingness to be chill and honest with the cops that made things go smooth for him. I'll never understand why people make it worse for themselves by fighting with the cops. Note that I don't automatically back police on everything, hell even a lot of things. My point is cooperate and then take whatever legal action is appropriate. Don't try to fight em' on the side of the road.

I worked in a county jail for three years and being cool extends to there as well. Some dude got arrested comes in and is chill, lets me do my job without any lip service, here dude make all the free calls you want have some cold water and a sandwhich if i have one. Wanna be a dick? I won't even show you how to set up the phone, oh it won't let you call? That's crazy, step in the cell.

Most of the time. I’m cool with cops and I know some good ones but state police WILL smoke you for no reason. You could look like the guy that stole his girlfriend junior year of high school and all of the sudden your keys are taken and you’re in jail for a false DUI. Nothing in your system or anything. Happened to me before. I still try my best with them though, there isn’t a way of being an A hole that works with them. Best to just be nice

Nah they only got me with 2 of them they really couldn't get me for driving because they didn't have any evidence that it was me in the truck since they didn't find me near or inside the vehicle. I ran from them for 2 and a half hrs on foot it's funny they don't tell you that though haha they wouldn't have never caught me honestly if I didn't sit down on the ground and wait for them.

Actually what they didn't want to mention was that I eluded them for 2 and a half hrs on foot after I jumped the truck into the river. It's funny that they say I'm horrible at fleeing the police when they would have never caught me had I not sat on the ground and waited for them to arrest me. So honestly one could argue that they were horrible at catching me. There was another big cornfield on the other side of the trees If I went inside there they would never have found me, but u know what I made a concious decision to sit down and give up the Chace not because of them, but because I was freezing in October soaking wet in Wisconsin and didn't know anyone lost my phone in the river and got my debit card stolen so I mean what was I suppose to do. They had my name already cause of that thieving lady lied.

Ya well them not grabbing my wallet from the house is about to get her ass about 2 or 3 yrs in prison too for fraud for stealing 9700 dollars off my debit card and I'll also be using this video for evidence now since it clearly states no they won't give it to me they might get the cop for accomplice to robbery my lawyer said. Because he brought my wallet up to the jail two weeks later and my debit card was missing out of it. But I didn't know it until 16m later when I was being extradited back to Michigan prison for another 12m that it was missing, but it's cool my lawyer says they have a ATM video of her using it.
