This might be the quietest chat we have ever had in one of your premieres DJ. Ren has rendered most of us truly speechless. Holy *cursewords*... Jess, thank you for this incredible choice of song. I have no words.

Loved your reaction. Totally agree with you about his two note breath sound when he is still at the mirror - very few people ever comment on that. I suspect that the red tie has no significance at all politically. The suit is the only one that Ren has ever owned - it was tailor made for this video. (Gotta be said that he looks good in it !) When he folds up the jacket, he has admitted that he has/had no idea how to do it properly. This video won two awards in the recent International Music Video Awards - it won best Music Video and Best Director (Ren & Samuel Perry-Falvey were joint winners on both)

I watched the BTS of this and Ren wanted us to hear the click of the gun. If anyone, like me, heard a missfire instead of an ending, it opens a whole nother level of interpretation possibility.

It was just a repeat of the click for the lighter in MG1. And Jimmy derives from the line "Turns a Saint into a sinner, a child into a killer, his finger on the trigger ...." . This takes it full circle.

Loved your reaction to this thought provoking masterpiece! My favorite quote was about Ren taking his suit jacket off and going from looking like a successful businessman to a school boy riding the bus home from private school. But seriously you made many very important points, not the least of which was about the power of our words on a young person’s development. Thanks ❤

Love the authenticity and exuberance you show. I loved that you knew the song I Will Survive, lol. You probably have an old soul. I'm with you on Elon btw. No one person should be able to buy a platform where they alone can shape people's minds not for good but for attention. I agree with Ren who said (I'm paraphrasing) capitalism isn't a bad thing but Humanity should come before profit.

You wouldn't survive the behind the scenes - Ren spends a good bit of it shirtless. LOL. This was a very thoughtful reaction. Yes, our system is broken, but it has its positives too. Ren has stated that he, personally, does not have a solution. But, he does believe that we could all find one if we committed to working together to find one. I, for one, would love to see what would result from a collaboration between Ren and Lin-Manuel Miranda. We would probably all spontaneously combust from the brilliance of it.

BTW, in the lead up to MG3, Ren did a contest based on the seven sins. Each day had new riddles for each of the sins with the winner receiving 1000 pounds. I know, ironic. He encouraged players to work together to solve these very difficult puzzles. In the end, things got interesting, but that's another story. The real prize for the participants was a video, kind of a summation of the MG series called Eden. It's not a song but a message straight to the heart of the matter. I really think you should react to it to put the cherry on top of the MG sundae.

Go longer. The tale of Jenny and Screech. Mind blowingly artistic commentary on violence in society. Also, if you want emotional, Suic*de is poignant, emotional, honest and heartbreaking. Very much an introspective look at Ren's illness and his relationship with thoughts of, and how the loss of his friend to, has affected him and keeps him from. A hard, worthwhile listen.

I know it's "the thing" now a days. And I appreciate that you are doing what you feel is responsible. But I'm sorry, it is SO alarming that people have gotten SO brittle, to need "trigger warnings". Yeah, I'm old and I find this silly The world is falling apart and we have nothing but weakness, it seems. The world will NOT survive with such weakness. This song/video is spectacular and should win so many awards. And you're a wonderful guy.

I think one of the things I find the most disturbing is how early the toxic influence started. Telling a 5 year old they need to learn to be a man? Fuck no. They need to learn to be a kid. But yes, this is a masterpiece. I was in complete mind blown shock the first time I watched it when it premiered 🤯 The only coherent thought I could come up with was that if Netflix doesn’t give this man his own show, they’re idiots 😂

Did he take his own life? Maybe he was ready to but it sounded more like an empty chamber! Ren says he has 'my solution'. I think that this might cover two interpretations a) If we listen to the question and think creatively we can find our own solution! b) Walk up to the edge of disaster so that you can start afresh! What it definitiely doesn't mean is 'Please kill yourself'

I'd like to posit a bit of a different take - listen to the words. Jimmy starts having the realisation that money doesn't equate to happiness - he starts thinking about the way he lives his life and the things that have led him where he is... 'he comes in out of the rain' which is a hyperbolic statement meaning to gain common sense - so Jimmy has realised that it's all BS, he gets common sense and then he pulls the trigger on the money game not on himself- he pulls the trigger on how he was living on the things that drove him - he pulls the trigger on being part of the industrial complex that made him who he was - not on himself. We assume by what we are seeing what the outcome is but the outcome visually doesn't match the words. Anyway my 2cents as it were - oh and umm yea Ren is indeed a snack and a half...

This takes it back full circle to MG1 The "storm" coming in "1" symbolised the growing awareness of the population" recognising (eyes!) what's happening, possibly leading to rebellion. . Removal of the poncho in 1 symbolised those in control becoming vulnerable to "the coming storm" . Likewise, Jimmy had no protection from "the rain".... . His life mirrored the corruption, then implosion of the system detailed in part 1.

DJ, according to Wikipedia, as of January of 23, 1 year ago, one of Musk's companies, Tesla, DIRECTLY employed more than 127,000 people worldwide. Besides a good living, what do these people contribute to charity, and philanthropy! How much do they all pay in taxes, so the gov can do the "good work" that it's been doing up to now. Imagine the goods and services they support. 127,000 may not be a third world country, but it is a pretty good sized city. Just think about it.

Close, but wrong. Read Master plan (1) 2006. . The Tesla cash is about transition of global energy to Green sources. . Now consider how much money is at stake for those previously running the system? You need money to combat money. unfortunate, but true. Or "You can't make an omelette without breaking eggs"?

Many, (present company included) are conditioned and falling for the establishment con.

Elon musk, whom I don’t agree with politically is not in charge of or should he be to save a country of people. His purpose on earth is obviously to advance mankind into whatever future were destined to. We don’t need a Elon Musk to solve the world’s hunger crisis, we should be able to do that ourselves while we let him advance us into the future of his specialty.

And then I heard the end of your "Elon rant" and realised you fell for it big time! . "His cars" include the currently best selling car on the planet.... Somebody likes them? . His internet? I'm sure those who previously had zero internet don't agree? Including the huge numbers in remote areas, usually the .... "Underprivileged" (in "3rd world countries"?) who will benefit disproportionately as the network completes? . As an obviously "privileged" kid who likes "Shiney things", maybe you should get back to examining your own "consumerism"? . Please detail "every single thing he's put out" thats a "garbage fire"? . I'm expecting "Twitter"...? A company which had maybe 3 months before bankruptcy, with a hugely toxic membership. . Not MUCH better now, but at least there's a chance. . I'd love to see you go for "politics"!!? . (No, I'm not in the US, and yes, I'm almost certainly more "left leaning" than most you know) . Motives. IF you examine the goals and actions of his companies you'll see that every one is trending towards provision of what would be a utopian "socially moderate" ecosystem. . Youre smart. Think it through. Let's list a few objectives. . Easy, cheap (free?) Transport..... With a greatly reduced vehicle fleet saving huge amounts of resources. (Not to mention recycling which will not only reclaim materials used in the vehicles, but billions of waste battery cells which currently DO go to landfill, unlike vehicle packs... Oh! plus all those old PCBs with are thrown out in every device) . Abundant, very cheap, (essentially "free"?) energy. (Suggested viewing, Tony Seba, circa 2015, should give you perspective) . Cheap, efficient medical diagnosis, leading to cheap efficient medical treatment. (THAT'S going to annoy the big money in pharmaceuticals and insurance?) . Automation in the workforce (and you can't just blame Tesla for "job losses", there will be many players). . These will result in a UBI system (Which will REALLY annoy many of the "Rich"?) . Expect cries of "Communism!!!" . Take this a step further..... . If the vast majority of services are free, could this possibly reduce the need for, maybe even eliminate the concept of "MONEY"? . THERE'S the premise for "Money Game 4"??? . As I've said. . Don't take everything at face value.
