The true gnarliness and pace of what you normally ride doesn't always come across in GoPro footage so it was interesting to see the differences in how you rode this blue. And now I know that Whistler has something I'd have chance of getting down!

Of course Whistler is very family orientated. Remember, a resort makes money off beginners and intermediates, not from Pro. Most of the trails are very friendly and well marked.

What stem are you using with the oneup bar? My BZA stem left some compression marks at the ends of the clamp zone. The oneup is an amazing bar but a pretty small max clamp width..

It is a Santa Cruz stem. Yes the BZA is far too wide. Six Packs products, Renthal would work I think.

Guys, do you have any recommendations for a good halfshell helmet? I've been riding XC for all my life but slowly getting into steeper more technical fun stuff, and i feel like my old xc helmet is not enough. I know, a fullface is the best protection, but i like climbing and riding all day, or riding back home on tarmac, so it would be a bit of an overkill. Convertibles could be good but i'm not sure about them
@leonardhaworth56323 жыл бұрын
I would suggest an enduro Fullface as the best, they're about the best halfway you could get. For an open face I would say that as long as it's DH certified and covers the back of your head(and preferably sides) it's not a huge deal
@chrisve19993 жыл бұрын
I can really recommend the Endura helmets but in the end it's up to you and what helmet your head fits the best. The Endura helmets are really fair with prizing in comparison and they are comfortable.
3 жыл бұрын
@@leonardhaworth5632 Thank you very much! Do you have experience with enduro fullface helmets? Are they comfortable enough to wear all day, maybe even on hot days?
3 жыл бұрын
@@chrisve1999 Thank you! Yes, i've heard good things about Endura. For my pretty light trail purpose the Kali Invader seemed to be the best solution, but i've read some quite bad test results from their anti-rotation system, so i think that'll be a no, unfortunately
@leonardhaworth56323 жыл бұрын
@ I have a little experience with them, they're generally pretty comfortable and also alot of the mid to high quality ones are really breathable so heat is bearable. I wouldn't want to wear one all day without a break but even just taking it off for five minutes would remove any problems. Even if you chose a half shell I would recommend one for the sake of confidence in hitting new things and in case you decide to go to a bike park or something
@davecrashes49053 жыл бұрын

@@remymetailler You still want to set a good example when you have so many viewers on youtube. If the trail owners/builders/whatev say "hey sliding is fine" then mention that at the start of the video so people don't go out and chew up their local trails trying to be like you.

@@remymetailler I`ve been to whistler bike park 3 times since 2011. Since first time I was there, I was admired by the park constructed, built & maintained. And of course the atmosphere grown up when there`s big event such as crankworx and EWS held overthere. If one never been there, it would be impossible to imagine how crowd gathering in one place and ride together with all joy. Without proper rules and regulation the surface of the traiI would be damaged quickly. I think that`s why it set in one of the rule NOT to skid. Use berms to attack corners.
