I understand your frustratiin, I had my van knicked with tools and loads of personal belongings, provided video footage of the vehicle that dropped them off and the theives breaking in and stealing the van. This is no longer enough and the theives know it. In the worst case scenario they might get a suspended sentence and a course to do. Ive lost my no claims bonus and had to settle for half its true value and nearly 2 months work messed up. Theres far worse crimes but the UK is the gold rush for criminals from abroad.

Hi Billy, sad lad you , that you had your diggers nicked, but who gives 40k worth of kit to somebody for £100 deposit, if you only take £100 then that is seen as how much you value them machines. . . . In the time it's took me to write this another 100 machines will have been nicked in the uk. . . I know a lad who got a job at for a company fitting trackers to machines when they are assembled, just so he could tell the people that he worked for where they were fitted so they could be easily ripped out, put into fridge trailers and sent to eastern Europe, they are in europe within 24 hrs of being nicked. . . just because theses guys know our customs people are overworked

You need to insist that equipment is signed for and take a photograph or video of the person accepting delivery, and maybe fit two or three trackers to your stuff, I hope you get some of the machines back but they are probably in Poland or Albania by now.

To true, worked retail security until recently in a mall and the amount of times they do nothing, yet the same person is knocking stuff almost daily up and down the town electricals etc the magic under 200 comes into play. Australia has similar problems and the same type of politicians .I watch a South African Channel run by Anton Koen. They are like Private police and armed better. The problem there is that although there are trackers hidden,the crooks are often ex military and used tracker blocking equipment. He has put up vids of these guys carrying the anti trackers in back packs. They also use trackers which have back ups which means they occasionally pass cars in the street which set off alarms.

Regarding security in yards...I reckon some warning signs to deter overnight raids on equipment yards etc. Use similar wording to what's on US Military sites "No Trespassing, Use of DEADLY FORCE AUTHORIZED" (whether it is or isn't, the "scare away" factor should help). Another favourite would be a security sign on the gate warning "Kuntfukka Security, kill on site, our motto". Of course if commercial and industrial locations had a limited amount of housing, (upstairs or wherever) designed and built in to the system, that would basically allow some staff members to get free/subsidised housing, while acting as defacto night watchmen for overnight security. If Britain wanted to, it could cut the rates of car and equipment theft, and pickpocketing, by 99% literally overnight. Just change the self defence laws to allow folks to stick the boot into mongrels... so long as they leave them alive to face court. Although I don't think it has been proved "scientifically" in a "Peer Reviewed" study published in an "Academic Journal"... but I think you will find that Pickpockets for example that have had both hands smashed flat with hammers, usually change to another career afterwards.

Have a family member have a air tag fitted to their car n follow the stolen machines/diggers n also have a Apple air tag fitted to all of your machines/diggers…….should help you track down any stolen machinery/trucks/vans/diggers!!!! Also make sure your family has air pods that way they’ll keep you updated if they’re safe n on the where abouts/location of the thieves n also have a 2nd phone on hand in order to call 999 giving the police the precise locations of your family member and the stolen machines/diggers

@@skipworx8230 Firstly they delivered it without anyone taking delivery. Then they only fit one tracker. This plant it tens if not hundreds of thousands worth. Would you just drop it off without any recipient.? It's very common within the plant industry to do this. They cannot only be compensated for the plant, but it's replaced with a shiny new, or fully refurbished model. Their plant was most probably knackered anyway. Don't you deal with these people? I did, for 30 years, so I know a scam when I see one! Also they claim for every day it's not replaced. Full rental. Every day. But to only have one tracker on it was the deal breaker. And id bet it was fitted where it could be easily located. It stinks. I studied that video well. The body language tells a different story. I've seen it many times before. Iv also know of situations were it's pre-organised with the thief. So they tip them off for a good fee. I can guarantee it's safely locked in a container, being shipped to who knows where!? Though you are entitled to your opinion, take it from someone who knows these kinds of scams. 👍
