Would you help a woman being mistreated?
I decided to conduct a social experiment seeing how people would react if they saw a man verbally mistreat his girlfriend in public. The results were shocking!

Same. Not even my neighbours or in-law family said or did anything when my ex would talk to me and my son like that in front of them. One of his first cousins figured she wanted my husband so she let him know and they were cheating on me for years. Their mothers are sisters and are ok with them and their relationship, for real. Needless to say I ended the marriage when I learned of the cheating and have cut the ex and his whole sick and twisted family out of my life.

No one ever stood up for me when I was verbally or physically abused- there were times that his friends were present. I had already been taken away from my family and alienated from my friends. Thank goodness that part of my life is over. It makes me relieved to see that things have changed for women today!!! BTW, I've stood up for young women being abused by their boyfriend/husband a few times in public, even with my PTSD!

Reverse the genders and nobody is going to help the man. Forget about helping, they will say "the man might have done something, so he deserves it" Nobody believes men in these types of cases, men are guilty by default in the eyes of the society.

Thank you for doing this video!!! I know this is 3 years old but it popped up on my phone and I just have to say those people are heros!!! I went through emotional abuse for 14 years before I woke up and realized I didn't deserve it!! It made me depressed you basically think your no good!! You believe what the abuser says about you!! After a while it makes you have no laughter no emotions except scared and sad all the time!! When I finally divorced my husband and got away from him I became strong!! I never knew I had that kind of strength in me and when I met a guy the next year it took me a long time to believe him when he would call me beautiful because I was always put down by my husband!!! Please if a woman reads this know that you don't deserve this kind of abuse!!! Even if you think it's just words and he's not physically abusing you. It's not ok!!! It will destroy you inside!! It's not worth it!!! I wish I had left sooner than I did!! Be brave!! All guys are not like that!!! I promise!!! God bless you all!!!🙏 🙏 I hope this helps someone out there!!

Emotional/mental verbal abuse is worse than physical abuse... Once you have undergone this horrific treatment over and over for days weeks years your self esteem gradually declines! without self esteem even the simplest things like waking up in the morning is difficult. you become withdrawn from the world.... Physical abuse heals quicker bruises go away in time.... See, I know this because I was a victim of both for years... I am happy to see people intervening it never happened with me. Many People who are abusive like to pick public places to abuse their victims it gives them a greater feeling of power... Good for those who helped and thank you.

This scenario hits home with me as well. My sister's first boyfriend in HS was exactly like this, but worse. He wouldn't even let her talk to other dudes in a casual way. I hated the dude. Fortunately she dumped him during her Freshman year in college. And she's happily married for 18 years now to a guy 11 years her senior. They live in Nashville and he was an Extra of sorts in the Carrie Underwood/Miranda Lambert video "Somethin' Bad" My sis worked for CMT when they met.

The thing is it often doesn't happen like this. Usually abusers are smarter than this. They don't start yelling at their partners out in public where anyone can come and intervene. They save this stuff for when they're in private with the victim, and put on a facade of being nice and charming in public so that no one is aware of it.

The video is very accurate. Edit: The only reason i got out the relationship is that my best friend found out about it and kept him away from me. He got put in juvie multiple times and house arrest so it was scary cause he knows where i live but im safer knowing the cops have him on house arrest. I have a question, because I learn English, but no one taught me how to proper talk about people whose colour skin is opposite to white. So I feel that 'black' may be insulting, and I don't want to insult anyone. Could anyone help me with this, please?

This is a tough one. I know of people getting shot dead for intervening during a domestic incident. Its a cold world and never 100% correct way ro handle things. But salute to the people who did what they felt needed to be done.

Watching these type videos had made me realize something. We are so different whether racial, national and in many other ways. But everyone seems to have the same goal in mind. To live peacefully and happily with each other.

You're right. In real life/real time. It can get very dangerous. I'm proud of her as a victim to be able to confront the same thing that happened to her before.
