Really enjoyed watching this BLAME manga review. I can definitely see the higher production value in this; it feels like getting a preliminary taste of the manga's experience. I'm a big Evangelion fan so a lot of what you covered about it, the SF cyberpunk, the humanity's existential threat situation, the quasi-religious dimensions, and the general expansive vibes of the manga's lore already resonate with lots of my main boxes ha. Also, the art style and visuals are so fascinating. After watching your review on this, I'll definitely be taking a look at BLAME. Also, I'd support another manga review; I recall your mentioning Fire Punch a couple times before. In any case, great vid Drift. Thanks for pointing my attention to this work.

I don't usually read or buy manga but I bought all 6 volumes of the master collection of Blame! (a.k.a. bu raa mu). but I also absolutely loved the Netflix's Blame! animated movie. it's a loose adaptation like, inspired by Blame!, rather than taking out a section of the manga story for animation. in any case I highly, HIGHLY recommend Blame! for any cyberpunk genre fans.

I always saw panels from this manga floating around, but I never really knew what it was about or even called. Pretty interesting, although it seems like it draws some parallels to Gantz (which I didn't really enjoy). Will still check it out however!

Grew up reading shonen. Dragonball one piece etc and started watching anime over the pandemic with things like AoT and chainsaw man. Recently realised it would take far too long to watch all the series i want to get through so have started reading more manga. Read berserk and just finished monster. I had no idea what to expect, but after watching it, I can confidently say this video blew my mind! To be honest, I always thought Manga was mostly crude and sexual anime, but I was mistaken. It’s amazing how having a preconceived bias for something can limit your understanding. I love the dystopian futures where there’s a vibe of loneliness because most of the people are dead and there’s no big military or anything. This Manga reminds me of an anthology anime I watched when I was a kid that had a bunch of shorts that all showed technology going wrong. I can’t remember much of it, but now I’m thinking it was definitely Manga. This video was great! 👍🏻 I really enjoyed it and I’m definitely going to look into Blame! I’m intrigued! I am definitely into a deep dive of Blame! or a video of Firepunch

Picked up Blame! a few years ago after reading Nihei's Biomega, which I also love. Really all his stuff is good, although Knights of Sidonia feels like his most crowd-pleasing (but still weird!) and least dark story, and I feel like it's not as good as a result (but still good!)... Nihei is best when he's at his weirdest and darkest.

Blame! is such a unique gem, I also like to pronounce it Blame too. There is just nothing like it, I like to describe it as Matrix x100. Got into it becuase of the Netflix film, which I think was pretty good.
