A lot of the maps have cool gimmicks. We'll definitely see more of them in the future. We've been getting consistently gimmick maps (and a lot of traditional maps too) for a while now.

Yeah but they're pretty hit or miss tbh. Geared for example is a personal favorite of mine , covered garden is an example of a track I'm never touching again unless it is a boss event.

This was my hardest beaten map on blackborder before Workshop, generally disliked it due to it's gimmick but got around with it as I aced most of the late game with the Biggest One and Sauda Glad you still (dis)liked it tho

accidentaly blackbordered it with saude and apache prime and permaspike was a very stupid save up but if you have 2 damage towers that can solo the bad with a few buffs it makes the game trivial
