The layout of this park model is fantastic! The fact that it has two main floor bedrooms, TONS of storage, and two doors, plus extra width, makes the extra cost palatable. If it's built and insulated as well as it looks, I'd say this little home is perfect!

Really Gorgeous! It has All the bells and whistles, meaning, a FP, W and D, Hugh fridge, a Microwave, DW, insulation for below 30° weather- Amazing.. What's there to dislike?! I even love that it's Mobile! Well, the price gets me, but worth it? YES! ♥️👏

In the US “Park Model” is a designation for a sub 400sf that is legally a trailer. The importance is that it doesn’t trigger RE tax increase to raw land. PM also doesn’t trigger building code laws. He keeps calling this a “Park model” but this is bigger in many ways -too wide, too long…. This isn’t even “Tiny”. This is a towable mobil home. An Oversize Load requiring professionals and a second vehicle.

When I first saw this, I thought that it looks like a mobile home. This thought came to me naturally since I've lived for over 34 years in a mobile home (nowadays, they're called "manufactured homes"). My MH is 68 x 14, so not much bigger than this park home. I have 2 bedrooms (each has a closet, but the master bedroom has a small walk-in closet), 2 baths (the master bath takes up the whole back end of the MH), a laundry room, a front and back door (the back door lets into the laundry room), a dining area in the kitchen (lots of cabinets, a double sink, a full stove-oven, a dishwasher, a full refrigerator (with freezer), and while it doesn't have a microwave oven above the stove, I have my microwave sitting on the counter over my dishwasher), and a walk-in pantry. I have a full-sized deck outside my front door (with a wheelchair ramp leading up to it) and a half-sized deck outside my back door (this has steps leading up to it). Modern MHs are not like the slapped together shelters built in the 1940s through the 1960s. Those old things would last for only 10 or so years. As I said above, I've lived in my MH for over 34 years. It's survived snow and ice storms (rare in north Georgia, but they happen), severe thunderstorms, and 4 hurricanes (the latest being Helene) with the accompanying floods (my MH sits next to a creek). So for those who like this park model tiny home, you might also consider a MH.

I don't need 2 bedrooms, so I'd want to get rid of the guest bedroom & devide that space between the living room and kitchen & make them both bigger. I'd also get rid of at least some of the cabinets by the laundry so I could have an elevated side by side front load washer & dryer as I can't bend over that well. Other wise, it's great. I'd love it.
@MrPootiesКүн бұрын
Frankly it's not too expensive, with all you get for it. Of course if you plan to move around a lot won't make sense, but it's a really beautiful house and frankly I'll personally just find a spot and plant her there forever.
@palebeachbumКүн бұрын
It's beautiful and I love the layout. It would be perfect for me with an attached porch and placed on a permanent foundation as opposed to the trailer. It's about U.S. $300/sqft, before land and connection to utilities, pushing it closer to $450/sqft total. Comparatively, an existing 1,000 sqft 2 bed, 1 bath home, fully renovated, on a small lot in a good neighborhood in my city is about $250-$300/sqft.

Single wide mobile home.🙃
@mbabcock111Күн бұрын
A house is a single-unit residential building where people live, typically designed for one family. It can range from a simple hut to a complex structure made of wood, masonry, or concrete, equipped with essential systems like plumbing and electrical. Houses generally include key living spaces such as bedrooms, bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. The average size of a single-family house in Canada varies depending on the region and construction period but averages 1900 sq ft. A medium home would be ~950-1,000 sq ft. The average size of a tiny home in Canada typically ranges between 100-400 sq ft, with most falling under the 400 sq ft mark. Some tiny homes can be as small as 186 sq ft, depending on their design and purpose. In this case, the Orca, at 500 sq ft, could legitimately be classified as an extra-large tiny house or mobile home. The term "mobile home" became necessary in Canada to align with specific building codes and standards. Mobile homes are governed by the CSA Z240-MH standard, introduced in 1972, which provides a distinct regulatory framework for their construction and classification. This term helps differentiate mobile homes from other housing types, such as recreational vehicles or site-built homes, ensuring they meet safety, transportability, and residential use requirements under Canadian building codes.

I like the design and dimensions, but I'm not a fan of walls and doors that are mainly glass. Allow the light in with well-placed windows, but glass doors and massive windows do nothing to prevent intruders from breaking into your home.
@segundacuenta726Күн бұрын
If they are polycarbonate they can be. Unless they shoot they wont break them (or if they use hardware tools but the same could be said for metal bars on windows.... and even steel doors...).
@skyak4493Күн бұрын
You seem to have misconceptions about why intruders don’t break into a home. It is not because a door is more secure, it is because the net revenue from selling the stuff they steal is not worth the risk of the crime.

You've not comprised space in laundry area, but left out the MOST IMPORTANT part of any TINY HOME / PARK MODEL, ----- more areas for hanging clothes.. AND much wider than 8'...its just cramped living at its elegancy. If ones going to downsize from a large home they may cry & ache over loosing keep sakes....but certainly dont want to live in a fancy box. IF THERE WAS JUST ONE, JUST ONE TINY HOME / PARK MODEL BUILDER who could have ALL THESE areas / design & space Wider, full size washer dryer, ample kitchen prep space, pantry, PLUS no loft, PLUS WALK-IN closet, full length of a wall & more (L- shaped) .❤❤ WHAT A SELLER you'd have, that's what it's all about isn't it??😮😢😢

A Park Model is a downsized Mobile Home, built in a mobile home factory. They were around decades before tiny homes became a thing. Downside is they are not really designed for off grid living, and are definitely not owner transportable by the average person. So not really anything like a tiny home.....
