12:45 I think that's a tag. Checking frame by frame, my criteria is if you can't see any gap between the fingers and the chaser and some of the fingers bend backwards slightly as if some force was applied to them it's probably a tag.

Man, much as I love HF, matches like this really underscore issues with the depth/experience of their roster. The fact UGen was able to keep things so competitive with their biggest players (Richard and Haroon, not to mention Sketchy Andy not returning for this iteration) sidelined is super impressive, with some especially great work from Dave and Dayne here. Conversely, if HF had to go a match without *their* two biggest players (e.g., Kyle and Omar), feel like that would get bleak for them fast, even with some rookie prospects on the team.

Great match. Insanely entertaining. I am disappointed about one thing, I was so excited to see Haroon vs Soderman and we never got to see it. UGen for sure had a reason for doing that and indeed Dayne tagged Kyle 2 out of 3 times. I think one of the reasons Dayne is so good against Soderman is his ability to scramble. Maybe the only weakness of Soderman, in my opinion, is that he sometimes goes under obstacles where it would be quicker to go over them (often does this under the sisters or the bar under the mountain). This is probably due to exaustion since he's in at least 5 chases per match. So I get why they insisted on putting Dayne as Kyle's chaser, but in round 16 when Dayne was just tagged, why not put in Haroon at that point? Maybe they are convinced Soderman could be Haroon's kryptonite? Or maybe he's just injured and the commentators didn't know. Sad to see UGen out this early, I think with a healthy Richard they would have beaten HF. Hope they come back better and stronger next time.

I get that the KZbin algorithm apparently favors these ridiculous video titles you guys have been using since WCT UK. But is it too much too ask that you at least don't spoil the results. The suspense of how a match will turn out is really important to me, so it's really annoying if the title of the video already spoils the results. Why are they saying that it's already decided UGEN wouldn't play on before the match was decided??? Are these not released chronologically? EDIT: Yes, they have to be, since HF can't have played two matches back to back, and then BLK did the same right after. Please post them in the right order, I think it ruins a lot of things otherwise (like getting spoiled or not getting a full timeline of the matches, rivalries etc).

You have to get a membership to see all matches, otherwise you only see two matches for each group. I suppose they're going to post every playoff match for free but I'm not sure. The subscribtion is 5€ per month. I'm a huge fan so I got it and I think it's worth it since there are some banger matches like Apex Doge vs Marrero Gang and GNF vs UGen.

@@davehogenboom7420 Hey Dave! Would be awesome to see! I asked about it in a live stream and Kyle Soderman said in the first American player roundup that exact question came up. He said it would be almost impossible to know the timing with all the noise and other things going in the heat of the moment. My idea was you'd need a team signal word specifically for it that could be yelled once you're on the straight going to a corner. But I think it's hard to hear anything in there. I know some teams have used words like Go or Cut to evaders to some success. It also looks like there was a visual time bar on the one big screen now, so that might be useful if you could see it when running away. I still think an auditory end of timer could be good.

@@SpiderWaffle yeah! Cues from the team members/captains along the frontline might work well since thats where the teams are closest to the evader. For me though, as soon as i hear 'athletes ready' I fully zone out and (luckily) do what I need to do haha. I have not once looked at the big screen for the time. You just dont have the time with Dayle hunting you down. But there are some people who have a pretty good 20 second radar. Im gonna look into it (read: see if I can train it). Big s/o to you if I evade someone like that in the future haha.

@@davehogenboom7420 Haha thanks! Ya Kyle was saying the same thing, so much to focus on already and too much chaos and noise. To practice I would look at Apex ETH, I think they are the leaders in tactics and strategy with the dive throughs, like Michael Sliger's vault through the lazy boy to land feet first. When you can move through obstacles like that very hard for evaders to find any place to pivot. Mark Boyles from APK Grey really shows strong, simple fundamentals of evasion with getting to the corners/EQ and reassess making strong moves from EQ to EQ one at a time, and turn and burn if in a tight chase. Javier and Apex players have a similar style, the same fundamentals are there.
