Honestly, I still don't enjoy how people use winrate to dictate how good a player is, sure it provides some indication but when takin in mind how dumb Unite's win condition is "Steal Ray to Win (ofc most of the time" and with how dumb majority of the players can end up being then no wonder winrate isn't exactly a fair indicator of a person's skill. Honestly at this point TiMi should just rework the matching system, heavily nerf Rayquaza and improve its punishment system cuz Fair Play points being high or low honestly doesn't do a thing to prevent the non stop issues the game has on ranked

There's no individual ranking system for a game in unite, if you carry the game and loose , you get points deduction, if you play shit but your team wins, you get same amount of point as most people. That's just unfair, there are so many games that I have lost just because my team never shows up for requaza fight or two people went to backcap when we should be melting. It's frustrating

The game is unfortunately a Pokémon game so it is aimed at a younger audience. This means if they don't get rewarded enough which is more than an adult they make ranking up easier. Compared to other games with an older demographic. That's Y u end up with awful builds and bad teammates.

I feel this so hard. Today I had a Assault Vest, Exp-Share greninja, that instantly locked Jungle and I had to play Jungle steal against my own teammate, so I dont lose instantly (He had 17k damage in the end, impressive I know). I would say I am pretty decent at the game, prob above average, but the last days I just got so extremely unlucky, that I had like a 6 game loosing streak, into another 5 game loosing streak, and I felt so overwhelmed. The first thing is that I get paired up with absolutely incredible bad mates, while my Opponents are all performing decent, or atleast 4/5 and the other thing ist, that the opponents just have the better mewtwo, since I dont play Mewtwo myself for ethical reasons. I wont touch this thing, just to destroy the game for others so I get 10 points. But it feels so frustrating that I sometimes just cant win, and its even worse if you are actually prefer playing supports (Hello, thats me. Im the person that prefers playing Supports), but you jsut have to try to pick carries because its absolutely impossible to put trust into other players. The Matchmaking is 100%, the worst problem that Unite has, especially combined with the extremely overpowered releases Fix your fucking game TiMi, pls

Bro I got tips first play with friends which are good at the game second if you see a player that is terrible yours or opponents block them the matchmaking will not put them on your team again and if you got more players on your squad make sure who you play with know to block the same player😢

Fixing match making is a matter of 2 very easy things: 1. Remove duo and trio from solo queue (so people can't get carried to and in master rank) 2. Allow players to fall out of master rank (so players that don't belong in masters will not stay there for long) This would fix 90% of the game after 1 season. The one more bigger fix would be to add the pick/ban to solo queue to help remove problematic mons from the game till they're balanced

The last two seasons brought my win rate down to below 50%, and Im frankly tired of it. Its not fun to play when the games are so one sided. Youre either on the team sweeping the bad team or youre on the bad team getting swept. Very rarely do I get games where its a really good battle and evenly matched.

As a solo player, I don't really have words as to how horrible it has been. I made it to Ult 2 with 2 diamonds from Vet 5 with some ups and downs but was feeling optimistic about crossing the finishing line. That was until I was hit with a chain of horrendous teammates over 2ish days. Knocked me all the way down to Ult 3 with no diamonds. A huge chunk of my ranked win rate was gone and my season win rate plummeted also to 48%. After contemplating quitting, I took a break of three days and started doing a ranked match every few days instead. I am now back to Ult 2 with 1 diamond and the last game I just played was the same BS of teammates not knowing what to do and not showing up for Ray at all. Of course, I lost. My performance points prevented me from losing a diamond so I'm still in the same spot but it hurt regardless. I'm taking another break to get that game out of my system but honestly, I don't have much if any hope that I'll be able to rank up any further. I'll rebuild my confidence a little, get my hopes up only to be let down again. It's heartbreaking to get so close only to have matchmaking screw you over again and again. ;___; EDIT: Got within 2 wins to Master Rank to lose 2, win 1, lose 1 and almost went down to Ult 2 again. I got a few wins after that so back up to where I started but istg, I just CANNOT cross the finishing line! ;____:

its frustrating as solo player that you get punished for being good. if you have 60% winrate, you get 40ish% winrate teammates against 5 people with 50ish% winrate. and that just doesnt work thats 5 people that are on paper better then any of your team mates. unite is not a game you can solo carry against a decent team. ranking in unite feels like normals in any other moba, pure insanity xD and like you said, its not the fault of the bad players, they maybe give all they have but theyre just not at the right rank. cause the game wants everyone to feel like a good player. so everyone must get to high rank and thats also the reason why there isnt a death counter and an mvp systeme thats not player choosen. if you get to master rank, get some mvp on the way and never see your bad kda, how will you even know that you doing something wrong? most people didnt watch youtube or twitch to inform themself about the game. so they never be aware of this problem and have nothing in the game itself to notice that there is a problem with their playstyle.

I don't know if it just happens to me but I have noticed that whenever I need only one point to reach the next rank (eg. Ultra>Master) I always get matched with lower ranked inexperienced players (who take unnecessary fights insted of securing the goal or afk trolls most of the time ) and matched against master/higher rank team with all op Pokemon's (especially when they are playing as a group not soloQ). So I feel like the game is purposefully trying to make me lose the game so that I will never reach master rank. And honestly I uninstalled this game two weeks ago because of the amount rage and frustration it gave me and I felt like continuously playing this game will definitely damage my brain and I may become mentally unstable. But its astonishing to me that other online games which I played like pubg, cod or apex legends, you get matched up with teammates of your own rank and thus being fair matches most of the time(unless some hacker comes) even when you can play solo vs squad. Meanwhile we have unite in which the main priority should be matchmaking since its "a team game" but everything is the opposite and I must say this game has the most disgusting unfair systems among all other games I played.(also sorry for the long paragraph I just felt like I had to let it all out insted of keeping in my mind).

Remove bot matches in ranked and make a grand-master rank. This should populate lower tiers more and make it a little harder for them to be paired with you. They could also remove the protection system. Instead of preventing you from losing a diamond/points, you simply rank faster from back to back wins. The only protection should be from an afk/troll teammate. I get people are frustrated with it but this is also the only moba that wants to advertise to kids as well. So there's some limitation to making it too punishing for them. They went in knowing they wanted an easier Moba

I thought that matchmaking was as bad as Zacian release season but it keeps getting worse. You need to pay attention who are the teammates at the right side of prematch screen and at the top of stats table, normally those are the bad players of the team (not always and only soloQ). Weird thing is enemy team have always good teamcomp and a Mewtwo, never full attackers like my team.

Many people are talking about win rate as the criterium for matchmaking in ranked. I agree it's a factor, but it's definitely not the most important one. That would be your performances in your past few games, meaning how much you scored, the number of your assists and kills, the damage you inflicted, tanked, and healed, as well as your main characters. Why can I be so sure of that? Well, I experimented. I got pissed off at my teammates and decided to start trolling (meaning stealing jungle, not taking part in fights, and not scoring either, sorry to those games' team mates who were good) because I would lose anyway even if I played seriously and I was tired of carrying (or trying to, at least) trolls. After a few games like that, my teammates would carry me instead of holding me back (I was holding them back) and I would become gradually happy enough to stop trolling, meaning I would play like one is supposed to. A few games later again, I would find myself (trying to) carrying trolls again, and the cycle would repeat. I did that for quite a time. My win rate definitely did not drastically change between the games I was playing well and the ones I was trolling in. What did? My performances. That's how I conclude those are the most important factor for matchmaking.It doesn't change much what we now about the matchmaking design, but it's worth noting, I think.

I get that they try to balance out the win rates and what not, but it doesnt help when the people with positive win rates on your team only has a positive win rate cuz they're new and have only played a few hundred matches while the enemy team has people who actually know how to play the game and have a positive win rate while also having played thousands of games.

I feel like I play a few games where I do so good and get competent teammates, and then for several other games I get players that don't understand basic game sense, I can usually tell by when you pick mons and people don't fill/change to make a healthy composition. I can tell they got no game sense or a one trick that works 50% or less of the time. I feel this game is SBMM/MMR involved if you win too many times etc. Solo q is hell. I only just got Masters 1600 but was so shaky towards getting to it that it was really just luck depending if I got a good team and the enemy had a bad team. It hasn't felt like I had many really close games which should the case at this rank.

I have a 57% win rate on my main and 58% on my smurf (which I try to play defenders and supports on) and I thought it was normal to have a 55% win rate in masters. It wasn't until some dude tried telling me how to play the game and I saw he was 42% win rate I almost died. I started looking at more teammates and its like BARELY anyone has a 52% or higher win rate. I don't think I'm special at the game besides holding a 60% win rate on chomp through thousands of games. Its just astounding that players are THIS bad at such an easy game. I've disappeared twice for over a year and came back and easily climbed to masters with minimum losses. Solo queue. Yes some bots existed but I can't change that. I have been having these 41%-46% WR teammates all season. And they run the most obnoxious items (Ex: Inteleon with Left Overs, Rocky Helmet, Score Shield). To make matters worse they have 1500+ games played. Its gotten so out of hand that this is the first season i’ve had a 50%-51% WR. Theres even been games where EVERYONE in lobby on both teams other than me has a below 50% WR lol

im a leafeon main and I spent so long improving just for some randoms who either dont care to get better/are actively trying to be bad is so irritating, cuz its ok to be bad at first but im in ultra 2 and these people seem no better than who I encountered climbing through like expert. overall the skill scaling in this game is just really broken, they dont filter enough by rank so people in high ranks are commonly undistinguishable from lower ranks edit: also I started like a week and a half ago, hence me not having reached masters yet

honestly i was thinking about this today as swear to God i was matched by teammates who were fucking awful i mean just awful and mind it i am ranked 1600 something. What i think could be a solution is to add a new rank above master which would be quite hard to achieve for say around 1650 or 1700 and should have certain criteria to enter that league maybe by win rate by certain pokemon or overall winrate. There can be 2 ranked for all i care one with criteria and one without cuz God ranked game feels like a standard game with bots running around your team.

Ranked is terrible now cuz I was in a expert 5 game and literally all of my teammates ignored elecki and the regis and jungled. They also ignored ray when it spawned and we only got 1 out of 5 if their bases.

Just started playing this game about 3 weeks ago. I reached Masters 1500+ with 65% WR and once I hit this, I started losing game more frequently. Most of the games that were lost was due to really bad teammates who do not know the basics of the game. I have no idea how they reached such a "high" rank and once I checked their stats they would have 44 to 45% WR. I mean that is just ridiculous. The game is really not hard at all, but seeing low WR players in the upper ranks is just embarassing.

You’re punished for doing well. I had a match where two of my teammates had 32% wr out of a couple hundred matches-mind you the other team was 48-60. And these are the same brilliant players who pick gengar and only get one ko-copy paste for any attacker while I’m stuck as defender or support. And I wonder why my wr is struggling this season e-e

oh, I said this from the jump. , I have been noticing a lot of negative WR players being placed on my team as of late, typically those with less than 2000 games and I'm not saying I have the greatest WR ever but my win rate is a solid 56% and for the game to consistently put me with teammates who have 45% or less but the enemy somehow consistently gets people with 50% win rate is just downright insulting to me when i know i deserve better

I had an exp share deci on my team that dealt 8k damage.. I don't think anything tops that.. I'm at masters 1800+ Also..i got matched with a guy who's barely at masters (1200 something points)..he had negative win rate

the fact you can buy rank protection cards too kinda helps these low win rate players get up to these high ranks that they shouldn't be achieving. it doesn't matter how bad they actually perform because they can just buy these get out of jail free cards and not suffer the intended consequences of losing matches
