That gorgeous sunset looked like a painted sky - Mother Nature really does do it best. Looks like Miss Maggie had an awesome time in this location - from blending into the scenery with her matching colors, rock climbing and dirt-road jogging, she was one happy pup dog. Thank heaven I finished my own breakfast before seeing those yummy plates of yours and it’s a darn good thing, or else I’d have eaten the varnish off my kitchen table in hunger lol. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful part of your journey with us - it was definitely memorable. Safe travels and stay well!

SO glad you made it to the Alabama Hills. I was there during my road trip in late April, early May. What a fantastic place! You were parked just around the corner from where I camped. I also spent a night at Tuttle Creek. I did my laundry right next to where you had your hearty breakfast. I had come over from the Redwoods via Donner Pass and saw the Bristlecones on my way there. I really hope you got to see the Museum of Western Film History. It was VERY interesting.

Hardest part of a great vacation or road trip for me is having to leave. The unknown of if or when we will revisit the places we loved, the loved ones or friends we just left behind. Even though it always feels great to come home, it isn’t long before the travel bugs bite once more. I wonder how the Alabama Hills became known as such. Pretty cool place, but that sunset was spectacular. Love how Maggie interacts with her mama and daddy, how do they know? She reminds me so much of our Marley as she too loved to travel. She was our bestie for years. Happy tails Maggie ❤️🐕 very nice video. 👍🚗🇺🇸🙋🏼♀️

Y’all hit another home run with this video. I had the urge to throw a few duds in a duffle bag and head out for Cali-forn-i-a! Unfortunately, that’s not in the cards right now. But I got the next best thing with a personal tour with Lynn, Owen and Maggie. And what a treat it was. Perfection in 20 minutes. 😉 The reason I am familiar with The Alabama Hills (in California) was a PBS show I watch called Outside Beyond the Lens. If you have not seen it, I highly recommend it. Jeff and his crew have many segments on KZbin of their travels. Just look up their name and you’ll find their wonderful videos. They have beautiful videography and well written commentary about the places they visit. They make you think and contemplate your place in this grand ball of dirt,rock and clay called earth. I might add, as kudos to both of you, I can say the same thing about your work. It is interesting, has swoon worthy videography and is thought provoking. I’ll be looking forward to next week’s segment and plan to pass this one along to family and friends to enjoy!

I think we have watched just about all of your videos. We're just about ready to buy a van and hit the road. We're looking at both models you have used. Our only question is "which van allows for the best (easiest) sleeping arrangement." Getting up during the night is probably our only sticking point.
@VANTREKKINGlifestyle2 жыл бұрын
Well first thanks for watching all the videos. The Travato wins in just about every category concerning the living arrangement, especially the K or KL. Where the Revel shines is safety and limited off-road fun and like this video using 4x4 for lots of fun things. But when it comes to just living it would not hold a candle to a KL. Just our opinion but like you said we've had both and loved both.
