Yeah rwd but unfortunately had a very watered down, worse version of the 13B rotary. If you ever get one, best thing to do is swap in a 13B from an RX7. Then you'll have a proper sports car.

there's no CLS AMG 55 for that generation, only the previous gen. It was CLS63 for the car shown in the clip

Having owned a couple of RX-7’s I wouldn’t buy another one. They are amazing cars and a blast to drive but they love to blow engines. Get one overheated….easy to do or run one even a bit low on oil and it is toast. Finding a shop with the desire or ability to work on one is nearly impossible.The RX-8’s we’re even worse.

Absolutely 100% agree. The only option for the RX8 is dropping a 13B or 20B from an RX7 into it. But even then, you gotta keep up high maintenance on them.

The bottom end of a 3800 V6 is good for 700hp. The bottom end of a 2.0 lsj or lnf ECOtec can take 500 all day as well. Nit saying a V6 mustang will take 1000+hp but if its anything like an Ecoboost then it'll tke some boost.

Watch out for that CLS, it’s just a less spacious E-Class so it’s not worth paying anymore than a high mileage E-Class.

That 2012 CLS550 has 402 HP. That body style CLS AMG would be a 63 with 518HP in 2012. CLS55 AMG was 1 year only 2006. A SL55 AMG Has 493HP. That CLS sounded off from the start. It’s definitely having problems. I’d run from that…

The RX8 was such a disappointment when it came out. It had a naturally aspirated rotary that legitimately couldn't handle boost or upgrades so the only way to make them usable was to swap a 13B from the previous generation into them. They also had ridiculously different styling to them compared to the transition between generations. So they weren't well received by the JDM community. The only common use from RX8s now that I see regularly, is the muscle car community likes reupholstering RX8 seats in restomodded muscle cars because they look very close to muscle car seats. Thats what Just Driven uses them for.
