They kinda rush this one huh? I kinda understand because of that 12 episode rule but damn that's a lot erased. Remember back in episode 1 the Goddess said forget it you are not needed or I have found somebody else. They supposedly told us the story before this part.

"Cour" is used to measure the length of an Anime Series. Normally, a single Cour has 10 to 14 episodes that run during a three-month period that coincides with the Seasons. That's why one Cour belongs to either the Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall Season (usually a Cour parts air with year between each other). Another way to notice a "Cour", is the change of "OP" & "ED" which usually happen around half point of a 23-25 episodes Season. Example being, both "Shield Hero" & "So, I'am a Spider" were 1 Season of the Series consisting of 2 Cour's. Also "Black Clover" had like 13 OP & ED, suggesting it had 13 Cour's. On the other hand, a "Season" is either a Series of 10-14 episodes or 23-25 episodes, done with a gap of a 1 or more years between each Season.

the guilt explained, first he understood that the explosion was from his power in the rings, that was used by the adventurers he saved, he also understand that they demihumans did not fight the humans and thats why they were able to get to the rings and weapons, and lastly he feels guilty that he favors being with humans more than his own people , you got to understand he desires to be with humans thats why he has the rings to hide his power to be with humans but it all changes now he starts to value demihumans more than humans

In case the rush isn't noticeable, the anime skipped half an LN volume to close the season on a high note with a "Boss Fight." That left a lot of subplots unfinished, and also left out the build-up of the whole war thing, rushed but well handled if you ask me. Makoto is an interesting MC, there is much more to him than meets the eye, but this is merely the prologue to his story. u.u Things like the resolution to the issue with the forest ogres, Makoto going through adventures in Tsige while reflecting on his future, the opening of his store and various point of view changes that build the issue of war and the story of Rembrandt and his family were left out. All in order to make a more satisfying and interesting pacing in a space as short as 12 eps. And personally I think they managed to do it.

@@andrerodrigues7669 I would argue that in "Im a Spider so what" (kumo no desu) the Pov of the other reincarnates occupies at least half of the story, here on the other hand between the two heroes I would say that they only fill 20% of it (at most). So its "intrusion" in the narrative is not so exaggerated. The Rembrandt thing is more debatable, I think his story shows the reader what Hyuman society is like and how the "tone" of things is, although it is true that it seems something that could fit in at any other time.

I would like to point out that when he killed that adventurer she was already dead. That man was so pissed with what they did that he entered their fading conscious transitioning the the realm of the dead. Then take into account that she had no idea what he was saying with that face. That would be like you walking the streets at night and have a guy walk up to you looking like death walking with a weapon in their hand speaking [insert foreign language here] while staring at you without blinking the whole time.

You have to remember that he treated Tomoe's fragment like his daughter, or little sister actually at the time. What were you going to do if you let someone in your home, and in the middle of the night they just turn around and... "unalive" your child/sibling? I doubt it'd be "talking nicely" to them. At least he reacted "naturally" and believably to the situation. 🤣

The two at the end could be familiar, but the subtitles from Crunchyroll had an oversight in episode 3. The boy calls her Sophia, she calls him Mitsurugi. Back in episode 3, Tomoe asked the adventurers guild employee who the strongest adventurer aside from Tomoe and Mio was. The employee said Sophia, known as "the Dragonslayer" for killing the dragon called Lancer. In the actual audio, Tomoe says it was Lancer's own fault and that he's the fool who calls himself Mitsurugi. In the subtitles, she only says that it is his own fault, the subtitles omit the name that she pronounced loud and clearly.

I'm kind of annoyed with the MC of these Isekais either always perving over girls in his inner circle, or having girls throw themselves all over him and always turning them down. Started watching you guys recently, quickly became a fan of you guys watching Tanya the Evil (new season soon) Just four quick things, no spoilers because respect: 1. A war between the hyumans and demons starting was the reason Makoto, then two others from earth, were summoned in the first place. 2. He killed a sqaud of demons in the 1st episode, they were the ones slowly killing off the orcs because they didn't want to fight in the war. 3. Director Nasty, flesh weaving? LMAO. 4. I agree like Slime and Log Horizon a bit. To me it's a lot like Gintama (one of the greatest series ever, of all time), primarily slice of life/comedy/scifi/ greatest trolls in anime history. But then they would have hardcore action sequences and mini-series type arcs. If you guys haven't checked it out yet, I highly recommend it.

And thru some bullshit, she delayed Makoto's descend to her world by some weeks after the 2 landed. But that's what I remember happened in the Web Novel, Light Novel might have changed things so I wouldn't know since I skipped the 1st volume of LN.

The first time I saw this episode I was shocked.. Maybe because I used to the very kind and carefree Rimuru who kind of never got his revenge in a bloody and gruesome ways (and I already read and heard the summary of Slime's LN up to volume 19), the ones who fought bloodily usually his subordinates, while Rimuru always ended people in efficient ways or just ate them.. But on the other hands, I like how they potrayed Makoto as not just a goody-goody man, but a more complex one and of course I was satisfied to see her got what she deserved, even though that shocked me first..

they kinda show the war in the short summary in ep 3/4. the demon going to war againts human becuse they dissastified with the unconditional favorabilty the goddess gives to human. Also yes, they kinda rushed this episode. The explanation about the preparation of the shop, the goodbye and stuff, the world map, the situation of the kingdom and the war can be done a lot longer. having 12 instead 24 episode i think hurt the pacing and the experience overall.

I’m enjoying this show but the pacing is so god damn weird. Its like they just powered through like 3 seasons of content and cut it into 1 and theres sooo much context missing for everything as a result. Unless they’re gonna pull a time jump in the next part and do part 2 as a sort of flashback to do world building and fill in everything they cut out. But if they did, thats such a strange idea for a pilot season of a show. Like they tried to pull a Spider Isekai but it was really unsuccessfully done.
