This is because minecraft has a mobcap. the mobcap is the amount of mobs that are able to spawn, which is in your case 70. since you were in the warped biome there were very little spawns, since the only thing that can spawn is enderman. the game has extra space for more mobs, and decides to spawn them all in the fortress.

You ask around 15:53 how we prefer long perches to be displayed in videos. I think my preference would be 2x for the really boring parts, but go back to 1x if you aggro any enderman, and certainly 1x for the 10 seconds right before it perches. I am still terrible at seeing perches in time to do something about it in my own runs, (I get to the center too late) so I like to watch the pro runs in order to get better at understanding dragon behavior. When you guys stream, there aren't very many of those per hour. I like listening to speed run war stories while waiting for a perch. Thanks for making content! Good luck in your runs!

this made me think! what would a minecraft "nuzlocke" speedrun challenge look like? like, you can only get iron and wood from villages/structures, no picking thrown eyes of ender back up, full armor required before going near lava (since it's LAVA) or... something more creative? lol. it would be interesting to think about (and make content for?)

Definitely don't go with a worse run but a better dragon, the whole fun of these is seeing how well you can play the seed, the dragon perching fast or slow isn't interesting or impressive imo. I would be fine with a speed up tho, although listening to you ramble on at the ends is kind fun :D

there were alot of mobs in the fortress probably because you were traveling through the warped forest and the mob cap wasnt taken by anything, until the fortress touched your render distance, and then it spawned all the mobs it can over there because its 'easier' for the game to spawn mobs in a fortress than in a warped forest

I prefer a faster main run than a fast dragon! But also just a little bit of other feedback: I'd also prefer some more live commentary videos from you ^w^ I enjoy live reactions the most. I know it's not too realistic to have you do that in this format where 90% of your commentary would be scrapped, but if you could do some other videos in the future where you record live commentary (apart from just twitch highlights) I'd really enjoy it!
