I like it. It reminds me of the whistle in the old trials games, which i feel are very similar to kaizo mario, in a certain way. Totally subjective though. You are allowed to dislike it and i take no issue with it. Just wanted to share that i like it!

For my SMW nerds, does the height you get from the green beans solely depend on Mario's position or does the jump timing also affect it?

I think it’s a combination of both. Like the closer you get to the edge of the green bean, the higher jump you can get. Part of the issue of course is trying to find that sweet spot without walking off it entirely. Green Beans are honestly one of, if not, the jankiest sprites in this game.
