This MIGHT be Disney's BEST movie... my FIRST TIME watching *Descendants*

I was SO impressed by "Disney's Descendants* - it's for sure the best Disney movie I've seen in a while.

33:13 Going back and rewatching the part at the lake while paying close attention is fun once you know the twist^.^ Ben probably took a minute to get the shiny rock cause, after he jumped in, he realized he had been spelled. He still decided to go get the rock (the whole thinking she had feelings for him but was afraid-thing). Then, Mal jumped in the water to try and save him, despite not knowing how to swim herself, and he probably felt like that confirmed her feelings & goodness to him. Then he asks her the question~~~^.^ Ben easily in the top tiers of Best Prince/King!!!

Maleficent actually intended to kill aurora in the original. One of the fairies who hadn’t given her gift yet, is the one who created the, “true love’s kiss”, loophole. Also, pretty sure that in the original, original story, she was asleep for 100 years, (or something like that), and everyone she cared about was dead by the time she woke up. In the Maleficent movie, the intent was also death. Maleficent set the “true love’s kiss”, loophole, as a way to taunt Aurora’s father. Context: On Maleficent’s 18th or 16th birthday, (don’t remember which it was), Auroras father Stefan, and Maleficent had their first kiss. Stefan told Maleficent, it was true love’s kiss. So of course after Stefan betrayed her, she used that. She didn’t believe in the concept of true love, so she thought Aurora would never wake up, (that she would die essentially).

Facts about Descendants not explained in the movie but in the novels Maleficent and Evil Queen competed over who should rule the isle when they were first banished and the isle sided with Maleficent Dr Faciler runs the main school on the island which was the school Mal,Evie Jay and Carlos attended before Auradon In Auradon there is a council made up of the hero’s sidekicks Camelot is the only kingdom that still lives with no technology
