Oh, you set it on your shelf with all of games Astro Bot references. I'm actually surprised they got permission from Microsoft for Crash and Spyro seeing as Xbox aren't treating them as such. They're Xbox IP now..... Imagine how classy it would be for Xbox to deliver a HDD to Naughty Dog with the Crash Bandicoot IP and Insomniac with the Spyro IP. Might be a way to build some good will with PlayStation. Return unto Caesar..... Not gonna happen though

I bought the physical copy (usually I don’t bother and just get digital) for the poster, the deluxe edition, the limited controller and platinumed both it and Astro’s Playroom. Considering my ADHD gets me easily bored of things, and rarely completing games if they aren’t engaging enough, that’s saying something 😂

This game wasn't on my radar at all, but a few weeks back I watched your Playroom video where you got the special bots and it inspired me to go back to that game, get them myself, and complete the platinum which for some reason I never did at the time. With that fresh in my memory I decided I had to buy this when the great reviews started coming out, and I've honestly loved it so much! Just got the platinum earlier today myself. Hey Ryan, the soccer one is “Winning Eleven” from PS1/PS2 era, they had the “master league” mode not found on other soccer games… the game was later named “Pro evolution soccer” on PS3/PS4 onwards

That's literally more variety than the Nintendo Switch has had since 2020 for crying out loud. Literally all that's been worthwhile on Switch in the last 4 years was Tears of the Kingdom and Metroid Dread

The ONLY… and I repeat the ONLY issue I have with this game is when you find a lost galaxy level and it completely removes you from the level you are on. Then you have to go back and restart.

Man, I loved this entire video. Mystic is a good dude and his enthusiasm for games is contagious. His knowledge of playstation history is also impressive and his commentary and appreciation to the finest details is both enjoyable and joyful. One thing I'll say and a small critique I'll make: focusing exclusively on the vip bots/bosses from every level kind of undermines that there is a fantastic platformer all around. It's like: the point of this game is the playstation stuff more so than the rest of what the game has to offer. I imagine the video is structured that way because the game is shortened/edited and condensed in small time stamps, but I still had to comment on that. Still loved the video throughout. Keep up the great work!

This is gonna be Game of the Year. Some parts were challenging and brought out the Gamer Rage, but it's been super fun thus far! I have two worlds left and I've got good moments of laughter, nostalgia, appreciation for PlayStation just being PlayStation, not always perfect, but they do it right, and just Nintendo smiling a lot, just like your thumbnail. Smile like a kid and live like a kid for a little while. It's simple fun. Nothing complex, doesn't have to be brutal difficulty, doesn't have to be blood flying everywhere and staining everything. Yeah, THIS IS GAME OF THE YEAR 2024! Team Asobi, geniuses! Game of the Year, no question

I heartily agree; Best. Platinum. Ever. This ought to provide developers everywhere a template of what is acceptable regarding a trophy list, and what is not. There are no egregiously difficult trophies, enabling players of all skill levels to obtain the platinum. There are NO ONLINE MULTIPLAYER, SERVER DEPENDENT trophies, allowing anyone, anywhere, at any time to obtain the platinum. There are no tacked on, low effort modes that not everyone finds appealing-no horde mode, no wave survival mode, no time trial modes. The list is perfect. Flawless. Any game of similar type should abide by these trophy hunter friendly guidelines.

So much cool nostalgia in this game, from the bots to there description. The resident evil Chris Redfield said could use some piano lessons. In the first game there was a puzzle to solve by playing the piano. In Chris’s game it just told you Chris can’t play piano, you had to get Rebecca chambers to do it. In Jill’s game once you found the sheet music she could play it. So great to have that level of detail even in the descriptions.

I love how all Ryan’s pets have been prime cat delicacies. That would be such a tease for Melissa, my cousin had mice and her cats would sit watching it run up and down its cage. When she would put it in a hamster ball to run around on the floor the cats would go crazy chasing it so she had to take them outside whenever she let the mouse have a run around.

This really wasn't on my radar until release day and I picked it up on a whim from how much I enjoyed playroom. I was grinning ear to ear throughout the entire experience and enjoyed every moment all the way up to obtaining that platinum. They nailed making a game that's focused on fun and nostalgia. I think splashing sprint is mainly just uncharacteristically difficult because the duck water mechanic isn't really that polished. But besides that, the rest of the game is 10/10 imo

Got the platinum for it on Thursday. Was very satisfied beating the master challenge level and popping the trophy for it directly followed by the platinum. Such a good game. Pure joy. My wife is playing it as I type this (fighting the chameleon). My only gripe is it's over. Roll on the DLC
