Their level of talent was, and is, extremely high. They are very special. As an aside, Fil of the Wings of Pegasus channel is a fan of The Warning, and has some interview footage with them. Yes; the butterfly shirt is legendary. There's no real particular reason for it, other than it kind of exemplifies Dany's energy. Sadly, _The Dakota_ shut down during the pandemic. I don't know if anyone has bought and revived the facility, although I definitely hope someone has. I still hope someday soon to be able to catch them at a small venue like this... it may never happen again, but even if it's a small venue in at least Northern Mexico, I'd love to see it (I'll hit the area in and around Monterrey, but I'm sorry - I'm not driving to CDMX). There was a chance in LA earlier in the year, but stupid Ticketmaster crap made it impossible. At least we got to see them at the San Diego festival, although as a festival set it was short and they were obviously tired... but no wonder. They've been touring for almost three years straight, and doing "special events" this past month. Take a friggin' break, ladies!!!

Other wee notes on this. Ale hates her hair in these! Ale: "What was I thinking!". She's toned down her movements now to a much more co-ordinated routine that is crammed full of little 'Aleisms'. Shrugs, smirks, snarls, flicks, head wobbles etc etc. It's a delight! I had to smile at one point because all you could see of Pau was her sticks flailing around like broken helicopter blades. She's a hoot. Great song, but the last few seconds where they go all 'Rush' is a real eye opener. Let's have more of that in album 5!

There's a vlog where they actually talk about their vocal ranges - and Pau mentions that it's taxing to play drums and sing low parts like in Narcisista. Oh, and when they were younger they often took turns wearing the same shirts or trousers in different perfomances - There's a vid where Pau is wearing that butterfly - and concerts where Ale is wearing trousers that Dany wore at a different concert - it's what you do growing up, right!? 🤙⚡️

This concert is known as the butterfly concert per the Armies OGs. Not sure who came up with the name, it's been years now. This band is amazing, their older songs stand the test of time. I would like to see them do an older whole album live in a future concert. I love their older stuff too QOTMS is my fav. KMF is great as well and I’m glad they have experienced the collabs and the big rock scene . After seeing them nail Alanis cover I think it would be cool to hear what they would do with a ep of that jazz/fusion/ rock sound . I know they don’t want to lose momentum because most younger people don’t seem to appreciate musicianship today. Let ‘em have 6 months off writing and living life as individuals, then lock the doors in the warning cave . Take all that to produce something they all want . But music has changed much the same way as hand writing vs texting with ai help. Cursive is almost gone as a skill for the modern times. Music is in that path too. I'm here to talk to you Johnny! The Pau thing. Yes, it's very obvious to me what you are talking about. In most of the Canadian leg she was looking a bit, let's say, weary. She was fine, but not what a lot of people might have expected from her. The problem here is that when she turns it on like she does on the whole Pepsi concert, smiling and generally looking like she's have the time of her life, people then expect her to be like that all the time. Unfortunately we seem to get different Pau's at different concerts. She is so capable on the drums that she could turn in a perfect audio performance with her eyes shut and one hand behind her back. It's so easy for her that she can, at times, look a bit bored. However, there is another middle ground Pau who looks like she's enjoying herself, but isn't going nuts. That's the one I think she should try to use at these 'ordinary' concerts. Then, at the biggies, we all want ANIMAL PAU! Tearing her kit apart and grinning like the total banshee we all love. So, yup, I get it and I'm sure anyone who saw her demeanor at the final Toronto concert where she looked very flat (Makeup and hairdo didn't help) would agree. BUT, I get why she's like this. She's Pau, what you see is what you get. She was absolutely worn out. They all were, it's just that Dany and Ale are perhaps better at not showing it. They are now on a proper break after the Latin Grammies, so recharging will have commenced!! Anyway, keep up your energetic reactions, they are great fun! You've still barely scratched the surface!🤗

To that, and with absolutely no shade, I think people assume certain things about Pau - but with adhd and an intense personality, I think it's possible to read her mood wrong when she's not intentionally projecting herself. Great to hear these old songs, and I do love the workout Pau gives to the drums at the end of the song. I think the past three years of constant touring is bound to sap the energy from anyone, including someone like Pau. There's only so long you can work that hard before you need to crash and recharge. They have gotten better at dealing with the rigors of their busy schedule, doing things like taking a personal trainer with them on the tour. Fortunately they have just wrapped up their shows for the year and as far as we know they won't have more until the Feb 2025 Mexico shows. I'm sure they will still be working during that time as they have to get ready for those big shows, and they have other business work to do like their Patreon and other commitments for their label, but hopefully they can take some time to decompress and relax before returning to touring on the Keep Me Fed Tour next year.

Sometimes you see them reminding each other of how songs go before they play them when they haven't done them for a while. I think Ale would possibly nix the idea LOL there's some there though because like myself and I believe you as well, came along this year and quite honestly for me, for a few months now, lunario has been the only concert video experience I've had in my life other than the Ziggy Stardust retirement show that I consider appears to be a penultimate experience. @@sephdm Just the standard CD pressing. The issue was (to my ear, at least - YMMV) the original studio mixing; it's kind of "muffled". Too heavy of a bass setting, and not enough of the "bright" tones. The volume between tracks doesn't strike me as very consistent, either. Yes; we can fix that somewhat at home - but I don't want to make a separate EQ setting on my stereo for each album, much less each track!! Lastly, all of their instrumental skills and voices have progressed so much in the years since, and it would be nice to showcase that in something like a "10th Anniversary Version" of the whole record. I'd be the first to jump on and buy it!! 😍

I’m not sure, it may be this video, but one of these at this venue, Pau almost takes Dany’s head off with a flying stick, flew right over her head and you can see it. I really don't get why they don't throw in a song or two from 21st Century Blood or QOTMS in recent concerts. I assure you fans would go nuts if they just came out with D2D or PSYCHOTIC. Also with Pau not looking happy in recent shows... I think it all boils down to the fact that she's getting older and don't feel the need to be so animated while playing. Do I wish she still did? Yes. Am I upset that she don't? No.

I'm coming out on the limb with you. I'd love to discuss all the "issues" and subject matters you brought up. I'd love to hear thes songs live again. I am so grateful to have heard almost all of their older songs live. Over the six shows I've been to, I witnessed many of the older tunes fall off the set list to make room for the new. For that reason, each show, after the first, had a bit of bittersweetness to it. Make any sense?

We've talked about this in passing in the chats and the KMF era of the warning, if that's what they wanna do, that's fine, but that album is ultimately just...not as interesting as XXI and QotMS. Sorry, not sorry. Their older material was way more powerful for me.

Although KMF has grown on me a lot since my first listen, I have to agree with you about their earlier song catalog having a stronger appeal. I believe DPA will ultimately realize that they don't really need outside songwriters brought into the mix, as long as the sisters can find the time to write songs together like before. The consensus seems to be that lack of time is the biggest issue, because of touring and other promotional commitments. On the plus side, they likely learned a few things doing the songwriting collabs that they'll find useful going forward, but I'm still based and hope they are the sole songwriters on the next album.
