Man, the budget sector has gotten so good in the last year or so. It's awesome. Not sure I'd like a low profile board, but it's just nice to see the options and for under $100 with some more "premium" features, I can't be mad at it.
@keebdude4 ай бұрын
I agree 100%, I love that "premium" stuff last year is common now - and we're along for the ride!
@mr.guillotine37664 ай бұрын
@@keebdude I love how even the more basic options are easy to find with hot swap switches at the very least these days...you can get into the hobby for a lot less $ than before. Hell, $40-$60 can get you a very basic hot swap board and then even some new keycaps and cheap foam to start modding at least.

hey newbie here... can you tell me why you don't prefer low profile keyboards? seems that is a common opinion and I'm just wondering why you like the standard better. thanks!!
@mr.guillotine37664 ай бұрын
@@evergreenerin I just don't like the feel of them, and they tend to have fewer options for those who want to customize things a bit. You have a lot more options when you go wth the standard. Some people love the low-profile though and it's cool if if works for you. There are some really good ones on the market too.

Finally found a good review on this thing. Sponsored, but still honest. 👏👏👏 Good stuff. I have a question if you could help me. No one has been able to answer this. Is there an LED under each key and are they individually customizable? For instance, could i light my 'w', 'a', 's', and 'd' keys red, my 'm' key blue, and my 'i' key green while my arrow keys are yellow? Just as an example.

great review! 👍I ordered this keyboard a few days ago. I am hoping to buy different keycaps for it. Am I correct in thinking that as long as they are 'low profile', they will work on this keyboard? (Sorry for the dumb question, but this is my first mechanical keyboard and I don't want to buy keycaps that won't work). cheers! 😊
@keebdude2 ай бұрын
I think low profile keycaps does fit this keyboard! It makes sense if they do atleast haha

Hope more brands come out this with this layout. Not enough options for low profile with knob - I bought a razer control pod to compliment mine, which is not ideal. Was seriously considering until you said the knob rubs against the chassis.

In terms of low profile boards, yes. I would personally go for a "regular" mechanical keyboard though

hey I got a question!!! Thank you for the great review. You said in the video there are much better options for $129 range... can you recommend one and explain in a couple words why it's better? or link me to another one of your vids if you have one explaining that!! Thanks

Hi thanks! At $129 I would personally go for a kit like Lucky65/Tide65 because the case is aluminum and it has more "custom features".

One more question... I ordered this keyboard before this video came out (it is my first mechanical keyboard). I do agree the keys feel very stiff. you said it's because this is "top mounted" keyboard. Anything I can do to soften it up?? Thanks again for a great vid.
@keebdude4 ай бұрын
As it is top-mounting, it won't be possible to soften it up unfortunately - as the stiffness is the nature of top mounted keyboards.

Kinda off-topic but, do more people really use PgUp and PgDn more, than they use Home and End? I mean sure with Via and QMK I can have whatever key that I want but really though, why the default is more PgUp and PdDn instead of Home and End?
@keebdude4 ай бұрын
It's preference, I use PgUp and PgDn more than Home and End, while some prefer the opposite.

For people who works with Office suite, Home/End is much needed. For people who mostly use browser, PgUp/PgDown is more frequently used
