As of late, I have been going to the gym only one to two times a week. Since I live in Buffalo and most of the best gyms are out in the suburbs and I don’t drive anymore, the idea of taking a transit bus out to one of those gyms on certain days just fatigues me. Now during the warm weather months, I use my road bike to get around and I get to the gym three times a week. Sometimes I will take a month’s hiatus from my workout routine and do something else.

All or nothing is poor fatigue management. You should deload every 4th 5th or 6th week. If you don’t decline in performance by then, you aren’t training hard enough. You shouldn’t train hard when sick. Training lowers your immune system. Training hard makes it worse. Fat loss shouldn’t be much of a conversation until you have 10 years of resistance training in. Being lean while training is unproductive.
