That little fire pit is pretty sweet. I wish I would’ve known about them a couple of months ago. I bought a Solo Stove Ranger which was over $200 plus an extra $50 for the stand. Then I paid another $100 for the spark screen and another $25 for a mat. I thought the Mesa XL was a bit too small but I think the East Oak would’ve been an ideal size

Dang Steve! That’s a lot of “extras” 😂😂

@@GearGadgetReviews- I ended up ordering the East Oak. $49, no tax, & free shipping. It’s already way too cold in northern Ohio to use it but Spring will be here before we know it

I never heard of anyone using " wood chips", which are typically for flower beds, in fire pits. Then I realized you are actually using wood pellets. Since there's no pot supports on this East Oak , like the Ozark Trails/ Walmart one, I put mine in a wire mesh trash can that's 1" taller than the fire pit and added a wire pizza pan on top, to hold cooking pots. This adds a ring of protection around the pit, and lets you move the whole thing, Carefully, if necessary.

I have to give this one a try next. I have a smaller one and it is ok for a bike trip and boiling water for a cup of coffee but not for a ribeye. Only 50 bucks on Amazon.

With the pellets or chips they burn evenly so you get that “fire flow” in the regular 21” it will take a little time to get that same flow

I haven’t heard of East Oak before but it looks like a nice mini fire pit. I have one of the Solo Stove Mesa XL units and while it’s smokeless it doesn’t put off much heat. It seems it’s more for ambiance and roast marshmallows, which my girls are more than happy to participate in. The mini looks great for camp outs.

👍🏻👍🏻 I was surprised just how much heat this put off. Perfect for warming you up around a picnic table

Bamboo pellets will burn great in that.

Can you cook on it ?

I guess you could roast a hot dog or something over it, but it’s small, and not meant to be a grill

Bloody hell, does your wife clean up and arrange your workshop? The burner looks great and I’m so tempted to buy one, having seen your video. Wish I could get it at the same price as you did, in the U.K., but with VAT and other taxes, it will be twice the price, especially as the Labour Government are now in power.

How do you put out the fire when you don’t need it?
@Pendragon5018 ай бұрын
Those would be pellets, not wood chips.

What's that horrible low pitch whirring noise in the outdoor sections of the video?
