A way to make that arm faster is by increasing the degrees (from 5 to 15 for example), I think.

I think you're right! I just wanted smaller increments..but I guess that comes at the expense of speed.

If you decide to upgrade your design I just found this out myself. If you upgrade a drivers seat to level 5 some people know you can then adjust the bearing angle. However, what I did not realize, is you can ALSO change how fast it goes AND have it lock the bearing in place when you stop turning. This is perfect design for a drill arm mechanism. Use it to control your left / right motions and it will save a bunch of time. Later you can then upgrade to electric engines to control the arm articulation. Now all we need is a way to farm batteries better.

I spent an hour in game trying to figure out why I only had speed controls on one of my creations. Not realizing it had something to do with the seat attached to it. I kept loading my game and googling things to see if I had a glitch or something.

Quite late, but anyways... Hello Kosmo, i wanted to point out one thing so i help you: If you use a driver seat at max level you can adjust the rotation speed when A or D is pressed, and by using a motor connnected to the seat with W and S and the bearing that rotates the platform itself, it can rotate much quicker, making this trailer a very good and quite economic way of over-engineering a drill. Hope it helps! Also, someone said that containers grab raw material bars automatically, that is true. I may also do a basic 3D model of the drill, and a 2D drawing of how things would work so I understand much clearly.

If you give your truck 2 rear axles / sets of wheels and only power the front one of the rear. I think the back rear axle should work like a wheelie bar without looking like one and being in the way. Should keep the fornt end down and look cool. Might have to mess with the suspension settings a little to tweak it.

nice vid, you should know however that you can place the resource containers next to refinery (very close, only from the long side from my experience) and it will pull the beams out on its own, then you slap extras that dont fit onto the containers and they will pull the resource in as soon as they have free space

the truck and trailer is really unique and interesting. I guess it makes sense seeing as you dont need to make 40 different vehicles. Also just because youre doing what "everyone else does" because its the best or easiest method doesn't mean youre copying anyone for it. If i drive on the right side of the road in america, im not copying everyone else who drives legally. Anyways youre doing great, your videos are so different from everyone else, it is a fresh perspective, and makes the videos more interesting to watch. edit: tldr; i think a modular system with a bunch of different trailers is cool

Move your trailer tires forward more to just behind the center of balance. That will take a lot of the weight off your truck and stop you from doing wheelies all the time. Also, cut holes in your trailer and mount your resource collectors down lower, closer to the ground. They will automatically pick up your resources for you. Just break them and then drive over them with your resource collectors. Saves a LOT of time.

I've heard of coffee can exhaust tips, but coffee CUP tips? How "Chad" do you need to be? lol As someone pointed out, the resource collectors will "suck up" the resources. That is what happened to that piece of metal when you were mining. It got yeeted, then sucked up and stored. Similarly, the refining bot will pull resources out of the collectors so you don't need to manually move each piece. Perhaps make a loading dock that you can park next to and let that ref bot do the work? As it sits now the bot may be a bit too low. And finally you should move the hitch point forward a couple of blocks on the truck and extend the trailer between the tongue and the axles to not only increase capacity, but make the whole rig more stable as well.

haha, I needed to compensate okay? So THAT'S what happened to that piece of metal LOL...now it all makes sense haha. I knew the refining bot sucks them out of the resource collector automatically, but I had no clue the collector picks stuff up automatically as well! Good tips on the hitch/trailer!

"Oh geeze, where'd that go?" he asks while LOOKING at the piece of metal in the front resource collector (20:32-ish in the video)! lol Pick up range is quite large (4 blocks it seems) on them so the point that most gamers just have the collectors on the side of their vehicles and simply drive over a pile to pick it all up. As for making the whole thing more efficient, it would be interesting to see a mechanism that picks up rocks after they are broken into smaller chunks by the drilling arm, then deposits them into a hopper with more drills to 'refine' them into sticks. Maybe a mechanism similar to "Golden Hands" (KO-206M) snow remover? Also got to thinking about collecting flowers for paint, will the vacuum pump gather them similarly to how it gathers planted crops? If so that may be an easier way of collecting them. Put a couple pumps on your scout vehicle and let them do their thing while you are just driving around.

You could use multiple bearings for one directions and multiply turning speed with that. eg: 3 bearings to go right, 3 bearings to left. Ofc it will make the contraption a lot bigger.. but maybe a cheap alternative for now.

Kosmo just put the light on the pipe piece that's connected to the drill. so it can move with the drill. just change one of to straight pieces to a t piece and it should work

you probably had some rods out of the collector and not properly in it. When the rods are in, you can lift it no problem
