The Maddux doc is on Bally Sports South I believe. You should find the clip from the Maddux doc where they talk to Perez about the Bagwell at bat. Maddux was a genius. Also, the braves are playing the twins this week so I get to watch, going into last night Gallo was 0-21 again Max Fried, he's now 0-24 in his career. And I'm a Gallo fan, I hope he figures it out soon, I would love to see him succeed. Just not against the Braves. Lol

For the Maddux thing I wonder if it was just in specific situations or big games. There's no way it was every pitch
@darthbauer51532 ай бұрын
I watched him do an interview with pitching ninja and he said generally just called pitch location and the catcher just had to catch whatever he threw. He only had 3 pitches and generally his catchers knew about what he was going to do anyways. So I would assume you are correct in assuming he only called the specific pitch in big games and high leverage situations.

I'm so glad I live in Gainesville, a stealth baseball town thanks to the SEC. I say stealth because the Gators football team overshadows the baseball team, but the baseball games here are still much more hype than any minor league baseball game I've been to.

I wonder if it's an approach issue with Gallo on two strikes? Like, is he a guy who usually sits fastball and adjusts to offspeed stuff? It would make sense if he typically does that, but with two strikes starts to expect the offspeed, that he'd have trouble catching up to the fastball. Or has he always had more difficulty with the fastball?
