I did the same thing to mine a few months back but couldn't figure out how to remove the cover from air bag. I got pissed off and exacto knifed the old cover off lol

Yea that’s one way to do it forsure. Yea i could have cut it off also but if I decide to switch it back to the factory look, it wouldn’t be a problem and I even still have my factory steering wheel in storage just in case.

Nothing really risky to it. The air bag cover is designed to be replaced if needed.
