Not really. A modified Grand National will blow away any stock GNX. And if you modify a GNX, it destroys it's originality and value. So GNXs are not that great.

@@bobcrow1462 also just the grand national are by no means slow,what you don't like about speed! In 1987 that was the fastest car out there?if I didn't like Buick so much I would put one up against a Hellcat charger &video it?in 2018 THAT Hellcat is whole lot quicker!now that's crazy!for the record think I typed my t-type had a 305 it was a 307&it wasn't fast but it had power with that 4 barrel carb &put 44 flow master on it!LOL you don't know car?!Lol then Chevy had ss Monte Carlo think some of them had 350 engine ? I am fan of those cars!

Made you think!LOL LOT of people know about the grand national,which would out run vettes like they were sitting steal!but (OMG) THAT GNX ONE WORD "QUICK" THEYwere both were black but one way you could tell the GNX FENDER HAD VENTS BY LOOKS,THE TRAN / REAR END WOULD SUT DOWN IN BACK,THAT THING WAS QUICK!WELL THEY WERE Here in N.C.

Also had cowl hood!love those cars,I had a t-type 1987 ,people thought it had a V6,no it had a 305 V8 ,Cutler 442 had same thing 4 barrel too! That was the days!

I’ve always loved that car. A true GNX, I honestly would probably be arrested for the things I would do to own one. 😆 That or a ‘67 Belvedere GTX. 440 6pack. Screw the Hemi.
