I mean, if you don't want this job, you can go get another job. There are supposedly a ton of jobs out there. The economy is so great. No one is making you work here. It's a choice. Just like it's the company's choice what pay and benefits they provide to stay competitive in the market and who they employ.

@vidwatcher682 He did 24 years! He wasn't going to be anywhere near any action. At that point, if your unit can't accomplish the SUPPORT mission without an E9, then your NCOs aren't doing their jobs. He would have sat in a connex box with AC occasionally giving inspiring speeches to help them perform their SUPPORT duties, which aren't going to be crucial to the overall mission. Wake up and think, use your brain, and know when you're getting played by someone who doesn't care about you... or probably much of anyone else but themselves. Think universally. Let's find a way of being where we don't have to feel shi!!/ taking advantage of each other.

Not “crucial to the overall mission?” So you think they just randomly send unneeded units to a war zone? You guys blindly supporting his decision to abandon his troops is pathetic. He decided to serve himself in his run for Congress and AVOID war. He chose to leave troops that relied on him for leadership. The fact that you think the troops were on autopilot by that time speaks volumes about your lack of understanding of combat.

I don’t agree with JD Vance but he wasn’t denigrating waltz military service. Waltz said he fought in a war when he was never deployed to war practicing with weapons of war his not the same thing. I do appreciate and are grateful for all of the people who serve. But don’t diminish people actual sacrifice by saying something you did by you didn’t. It’s an affront to people who actually sacrifice and died for are freedom.
