Thank you for pointing out the LOUD NOISE of the MOTOR. For me, it's NOT a PROBLEM because I can easily eliminate the ambient noise (motor noise) within 1 minute using Davinci Resolve's Noise Reduction. I will certainly buy it and test its durability. If I don't like it, I will return it as soon as I can.

I love it! This is the first one I have ever used. One of the coolest things about a slider, that I have only just worked out, is that a few a seconds of slider footage transforms the video.

I bought it have been in my bag since, but after I saw your video I want to use it again

I just bought the slider and the noise is extremely low I’m not really sure why you mentioned that it was bad. Probably because you were using a microphone attached to the camera which is going to include physical vibrations amplifying the noise… If you’re going to be using it with a microphone… The microphone should always be near your subject and never on your camera while on the slider
@markwiemels2 жыл бұрын
They may have improved it. It is pretty loud in mine. You would pick it up in a mic 3 feet away. It’s a fairly new product, so they may have worked out how to make it quieter.
@MichaelOrtega2 жыл бұрын
@@markwiemels You are right. To be clear, think it depends on the type of work you do. I wouldn’t say it’s “quiet” it’s definitely making a noticeable noise… but I have owned 3 different sliders and this one is by far the quietest. I understand that some mic setups will pick up the noise but I think considering the price, most sliders will make noise and it’s best to expect them to, thus always having a mic close to the person and away from the camera.

Does this slider has slave mode over shutter port so move in timelapse mode can be controled by external timelapse intervalometer?

Nice review. I knew you were a Fujifilm shooter as soon as I clicked, such beautiful colors. I bought the Chocolate SE but i've been thinking about the loud noise and hard stop. Do you think they'll ever update the app for a speed curve control?
@markwiemels3 жыл бұрын
hmm... mine does a slow ramp down speed at the end of the sliders travel? I don't seem to have any control over that, it just does it. Does your decrease speed as it approaches the end of the programed A or B point?
@GabrielOliveira-bu9gd3 жыл бұрын
@@markwiemels it only decrease speed if I set it to not touch point A or B at the end of the trail.

@@GabrielOliveira-bu9gd That is annoying. They must have fixed this before I got mine.

Hey Mark! I was wondering if the interlinked gimbal movements are able to *precisely* loop a certain motion, thus making it suited for a cloning effect where you put yourself more than once in a frame. The hotdog 3.0 shifts a bit each time, therefore making it not possible to do the cloning effect. Is that possible though, on this chocolate SE or not? Kind regards, Cas 🇳🇱
@markwiemels2 жыл бұрын
I have not tested it on this unit yet, from what I have seen it also depends on the specific gimbal model being used too.

Not without adding their panning head, the hamburger. Have a look at the hotdog motorised slider. It’s excellent and does panning.
