This is our Group Reaction & Review to Brother Bear. Brother Bear follows an Alaska native boy named Kenai as he pursues a bear and kills it, but the Spirits, incensed by this unnecessary death, change Kenai into a bear himself as punishment. In order to be human again, Kenai must travel to a mountain where the Northern lights touch the earth.

This movie has as a much deeper meaning with regards to the fact that Joaquin Pheonix (who was the voice of Kenai) had lost his brother River several years prior to this film so when i hear his voice yelling Sitka's name or screaming after killing Koda's mum, you can hear there is genuine anguish when he does it :'( but by the same token, this probably would've helped him deal with some of his grief, like his brother would come back if he could to show him how important it is to love those that are still around

I still remember when I saw this movie in theaters, I was still a kid and cried my heart out with the revelation that Kenai killed Koda's mom; his decision to stay as a bear to take care of him was basically his act of atonement for what he did. The little detail that the eagle we see through the entire movie, is actually Sitka watching over his brothers it's just so good. I'm so happy you guys reacted to this and liked it. n_n

Such an underrated movie. It came out as a Christmas movie in 2003 but Finding Nemo had only come out in October and basically everyone was still loosing their minds over it when this one came out. It vanished from the cinemas far more quickly than it should have. One of their last truly ‘animated’ films before the age of cgi. Great reaction as always.

1 disturbing/depressing element they leave out of this story is that bears living in the wild have a lifespan of only around 30 years, so by chosing to remain a bear Kenai likely died decades before his brother Denahi told the story as we saw at the beginning of the movie.

When I was around 5, I got this movie player that for 2 years, I only had 2 movies for, Aladdin and brother bear. These two movies quickly became my favorite children’s movies ever, but especially this one. I would watch it sometimes multiple times a day, the characters and messages stuck with me throughout the years even to this day. Most underrated animated movie ever in my opinion. When I found your channel for the first time you three reminded me of the three brothers, and I hoped u would watch it one day. Beyond hyped it finally happened

Kenai made becoming a bear cool before Brave. 23:23 perspective is powerful. Another set of underrated Disney films: Treasure Planet- alien pirate ships and a planet of treasure. And Dinosaur one of disney’s criminally underrated film. Oh and Oliver and Company incredible cast, soundtrack and style.

I think there's a video somewhere on YT that shows the uncensored version of when Kenai tells the truth to Koda. The final version played over the whole dialogue because they deemed it too painful for children to listen.

Please watch Robots (2005) it's a beautiful heartfelt animated movie that's also hilarious with strong family and finding yourself themes - it's one of my favorite roles of late great Robin Williams too

I recommend you watch the Gran Turismo movie :) If u don't know what Gran Turismo is, it's basically a great racing game that's been going on since the late 90s and it has improved ever since and it's a great game to play. This movie is actually based on a true story.

It’s not like Kenai is stupid or something, he was younger than Sitka and Denahi, he was the little brother. He wasn’t trying to fight the bear at the beginning, he was angry and act without thinking throwing that rock. That was pretty stupid, but he is not stupid. Also, Brother bear was before Brave, so…there.
